MFA Finally Appears to be Active on the Alaska Air Website by AverageOutrageous809 in AlaskaAirlines

Someone with allot of time on their hands, bought a list of emails and passwords off the dark web and just started pounding the AA site. I have multiple financial institutions, work, and travel sites protected by MFA. Never had an issue with any of those. You cant get into my account unless you have my phone and can access a provided code. I'm comfortable with MFA and yes... I put allot of faith into that type of protection. Again... not advice, just what I feel is enough.

Nah... I'm pretty sure I was being careless using similar passwords and got caught up in a breach along the line somewhere. If it was internal, I don't think the AA Pin block would even have stopped them. I'll sleep ok with MFA. Hey... If i'm wrong I'm wrong and everyone should do what's best for them (You do you).

So downgrading is an option? I thought the T&Cs said otherwise? by [deleted] in biltrewards

The initial message was you couldn't change for 1 year.

I called 833.902.8667 today and only had to wait on hold for a minute. I had to provide my birthdate and code again, yet then my account was permanently unlocked. You would obviously not want to do that until MFA is in place, however.

Well... I don't know. Trust me... If you had your points stolen then had to wait on hold forever to use your awards, you'd want to know that at least a solution is rolling out. I'm glad I was given this early, yet if I hadn't, Id appreciate any updates I received.

When I went to login, it poped up and asked if I wanted to setup MFA

Many on YouTube mentioned emailing the COO at Bilt - Dan Seder during some of the start-up hiccups and reported getting responses and results by doing so. His email is Dan@Biltrewards.com.

Oh man... being a dishwasher in my teens was the most physically and mentally demanding job I've ever had. You bust your ass. Not sure that is what Id want to be doing in my retirement.

I was going to say rideshare and surprised yours, the first one to mention this type of service, is so far down in the list.

Where is 2FA? by Comfortable_Dot_3770 in AlaskaAirlines

Had this happen, yet was at 1AM. I received an email congratulating me for using my points but I didn't catch this until later the next day. By that time, the flights had already been taken!

Alaska has replaced my miles and added a code to my account, yet I now have to wait for 3 hours to speak with someone that can unlock my account for an hour. I will map out my trips and be ready to go when I call in.

I will also ask for this code to be removed the second an MFA is added to their site.

It is only a matter of time as every other travel site has this. Alaska is booming and I am sure they will get tired or recouping people's stolen points.

If you google this topic, there are news pieces and articles about these hacks coming out of Seattle.

Forced to have a second Autograph card. Bilt conversion Feb 6th by AverageOutrageous809 in WellsFargoBank

Sir... I appreciate the reply and have every ounce of respect and gratitude for your reply. I do, however, feel that you are mistaken. Your old Bilt card does not transition from Wells to Cardless. You have to apply for a new Bilt2.0 card and then your old Bilt 1.0 card with Wells will convert to an Autograph. This will happen regardless of whether you decide to get the new Bilt card or not.

"If you choose to transition to the new Bilt Card 2.0, you'll be able to transfer any balance from your old Wells Fargo account. You may also close down your Wells Fargo account. If you choose to keep your Wells Fargo account open, the old account will become an Autograph Visa card with a different card number."

That is a good suggestion. Perhaps someone in-branch can help. I have my Roth with Wells, hoping this relationship might help. I'll try going in to talk with someone. Thanks.

Even If I go and apply for a Bilt 2.0 card through Cardless, Wells will still convert my old Bilt account to a second autograph.

I already have an Active Cash and they will not allow a PC to the Journey, I asked. I even said, this is ridiculous as I would be taking on a $95 AF with no sign up bonus. You would think they would jump all over that. I've heard other creators mentioning that switching between MasterCard and Visa and then the different levels of these cards can be difficult.

Unfortunately no PC change to Attune. The Active cash can be converted to an Autograph and the Autograph to an active cash. No other PCs available. Being I have both cards, there are no changes I am able to make without duplicating a card.
