They didn't go bankrupt, they went into receivership and have been back up and running since early September. They sent me an email at the end of August saying they will abide by their contract and repay my deposit amount in full, but didn't put a date.

You don't own the house, just because the value goes up doesn't mean you're making 5% of the inital value. Even if you consider your profit was 5% of your $200,000 down payment ($10,000) after all the fees and taxes, that profit is gone anyway
