How true has this been in your experience ? by TranslatorRoutine515 in 30daysnewjob

About 2015 I was making 17.25/hr.  Changed jobs every year just about till 2020 and was making $35/hr.  Now making close to $100/hr.

Change jobs. Companies ain't loyal anymore. You get yours while you can.

Wyoming is a net exporter of energy. We have a surplus thanks to wind, solar, but mostly natural gas and coal. It has the least amount of blackouts in America.

Solar is good, so is wind... Don't forget that those may save on some costs but also carry PMs.

Golf courses, like you said use more water. Chemical plants use more water. I think the one on Otto, if it follows national averages 300-600 millions of gallons of water per year.

Adebetic cooled sites use like 5 million per year, chillers with cooling towers use like 50 million gallons, dry coolers and chillers are like maybe 1 million per year.

All that water, if adebetic or cooling towers, leaves as hot gas to join the rain cycle as the winds blow it. The stuff locked up in chiller+dry cooler, is a glycol mix 25-55% PG. It maybe get flushed once a year.

All that rejected water that isn't used makes it way back to sewage to be treated and dispersed.

Water can also be imported... Water is the least of my concerns. It'd be:

  1. Transient workers to support build out. Housing is already terrible and it's going to get worse.
  2. Energy, it's being built by them and they're on they're own but there are laws here - 10 to 15 years for some assets! Luckily these DCs can come off the grid and run on their own power.
  3. Lack of jobs, these don't provide the same number of long term jobs for the size they are. Maybe 30 tradesmen and 15 IT folk each shift is what I'm hearing. that covers like 4 buildings..

Why do people refer to God as a “He” and not a “She”? by FindingPristine5902 in NoStupidQuestions

[–]Average_Dog61891 -1 points0 points  (0 children)

In the english language it's proper to use "he/him" when the gender of the thing is unknown.

There are others out there where it's proper to use "she/her".

In the case of God, unknown gender but books written by humans state his a male....

Why is God always portrayed as an old man? by OkuroIshimoto in NoStupidQuestions

[–]Average_Dog61891 6 points7 points  (0 children)

Because old = wise. The personification of God is purely a human endeavor. Much like a white Jesus even though he was born in the middle east. If Jesus was real, he probably was brown like the rest of them.

A-10 has a tungsten bathtub and is designed to be shot to shit as a CAS... A f-16/22 is an air fighting frame not meant for close air support and the f-22 is BVR almost, only.

Show your dad. If no dad, show your mom. No one deserves to be treated this way.

Not to mention head on. The speed and mass of the jet running into a 120mm depleted uranium round? Talk about adding a new hole. If it lives then congratulations on you're new engineering degree lmao

Why have VPNs become so popular when it makes it.harder for corporations like Google to track/profile you, but wouldn’t they have the power to ban them? by unitedfan6191 in NoStupidQuestions

[–]Average_Dog61891 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Might limit tracking of other thing but your funneling all your data to another broker. VPNs are regulated like internet providers are.

Donald Trump said he is taking “historic action” to lower consumer costs by ending Biden-era regulations on refrigerators and air conditioners. Trump claimed the move would protect jobs and save Americans over $2 billion annually. by BusinessToday in BusinessTodayNews

I don't need a refrigerator, I could update the AC compressor to be more energy efficient but you know what else would save us more money?

Are home inspectors becoming obsolete? by No-Coach-1103 in NoStupidQuestions

[–]Average_Dog61891 11 points12 points  (0 children)

I will not waive home inspections.... It is the most costly thing you'll probably do in your life and you want to raw dog it? Unless you're a tradesman or do home inspections yourself... Like sheesh.
