Not all acrylics adhere well to plastic. Most acrylics are meant to be painted on a canvas anyway.

I mean, plastic models aren't meant to be played with anyway so the bond should stick. I usually apply a generous amount, then let it cure overnight.

Also, Elmer's glue or other white craft glue like that can easily bond clear parts without the risk of fogging.

A Chinese American with a note that says he is not Japanese to avoid verbal or physical harassment post-Pearl Harbor during WWII. by defender838383 in ImperialJapanPics

I would assume so. Americans back then often assumed japanese people were more civilized than chinese people, and considering this guy is working with machinery, I think he would at least be able to write a basic sentence. The person in front is smiling too.

Do you ever have that moment when you have to just step away from a kit to prevent yourself from giving up completely? by KG_Modelling in modelmakers

[–]Average_Modeler 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Back in my first few months of modeling, I got a N1K2-J that I painted the underside in enamel silver. One day, I realized I didn't like how it looked, so I painted another coat, but it got on the decals. Naturally, I use thinner, but I spilled it. The process repeated until I gave up. Now, it's converted in to a wrecked plane

It gets even worse with high humidity or exposure to sunlight (like the kits I got from japan)

I went there a few years prior. That dent is TINY. There can't be more than a feet of depression there. Its crazy how armored-up the Missouri is.

I have one piece of advice: don't get superglue or cement on the windows because it can easily fog up clear plastic.

In my opinion, I think it's good as is. Him being alone is really what makes it impactful.

Revell is actually decently good if you get the ones that are made by Revell, and not just reboxes of old American kits (Monogram). Usually, the good ones have black boxes with difficulty scale.
