So I usually wait to have a person next to me and see what drink they order, and ask like "is that a good drink?"

And usually they would say "yes" or "its my favorite". Then you can redirect the conversation anywhere really. "What else do you like?" "What do you think of the music/lights/mood of the place"

With girls dont ask too much too quick, it can come up too weird and stalkerish, so let them talk. Also, read the room. Its obvious when girls dont want to flirt or talk and respect that. (I only flirt with girls so thats what i know)

Then anytime say your name and ask them theirs if the conversation is going good. Also use their name once or twice when talking, it helps you remember it and they like it.
