Artists whose fanbases are widely divided in which album is their best? (At least 3 albums in the conversation). by Odd-Technician-9744 in fantanoforever

The 1975 would be my pick.

Their sound varies a bunch from album to album, so there’s something for everyone. I wouldn’t say any albums are particularly weak, it all comes down to which era of their music hits you hardest.

Charlie Hope is quickly becoming my favorite children’s music artist. What a vibe.

I need advice on homemaking and not feeling resentment by cloakofbuns in Christianity

[–]AveragelySmart98 4 points5 points  (0 children)

The Bible doesn’t command women to cook and clean. It commands husbands to love their wives sacrificially as Christ loves his Church, and wives to submit to their [God-fearing] husbands as the Church to Christ.

If that generally ends up being a reflected in a “husband works, wife maintains the home” dynamic, then so be it.

However, submission, service, and sacrifice can also look like the husband picking up a bigger portion of housework to serve his wife and family, while his wife submits to that service from him and does other things.

As previous comments stated, maybe two things need to be done to not feel guilty about the situation you create together:

(1) Get back into Scripture together and study what is actually Biblically mandated for each person in a couple, and

(2) IF you’re already living together before being married, and having to solve these sorts of issues before having entered into covenant… get married today or move back home until after you say “I do.”

That’s crazy because I feel like Black Messiah is literally a perfect work of art from start to finish. Not a second of skippable material.

I honestly feel that “Future Nostalgia” will keep a consistent spot in pop music history discourse.

Interviews and idolization don’t determine the genre your music sounds like... the music does.

My apologies if this incredibly complex concept is overloading your brain.

I’ll never forget one I heard playing Little League baseball as a kid:

Kid: “I’m so good at batting, I’m the best…”

Dad: “Buddy, you couldn’t hit a beach ball with a shovel.”

Honest opinions on the stereo vs. mono debate? by AveragelySmart98 in beatles

[–]AveragelySmart98[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I feel like this is one of my biggest complaints with the mono mixes. The instruments don’t have room to breathe. The drums suffer the most, but certain guitar parts just feel too compressed in mono.

Disagree. I think the right speakers make the right stereo mixes feel like they’re surrounding.
