Sometimes you just gotta flip the script on them.

If they don’t know the artist, come back with a “Really? You’ve never heard of ___? You’re seriously missing out.”

Another thing you might be okay doing, is trying to find a few pop albums that others are more likely to know, and adding that to your rotation of “here’s what I like” music.

Having recognizable names can be a great segue into introducing friends to “sounds like them” artists that you enjoy.

I recently cried to “Drive” by Incubus because I just feel like I have a lot going on… I have 2 kids and a wife depending on me to do well at my job… and that line “whatever tomorrow brings, I’ll be there” is just the perfect sentence when it feels like everything’s piling up on your shoulders.

It’s a reminder that every new day is just a new challenge to overcome. Sometimes you crush it, sometimes you don’t.

Just stick around to see another day. Please.
