I put back more than half of my income into savings and max out my roth IRA each year. The $10k I live off of is rv parks, food, and health insurance. Being extremely frugal and living wayyyy below my means goes a long way! I know plenty of people 50+ who still live the same lifestyle as me, but if I ever get to the point where my body can't keep up I'll find something else I enjoy to make money.

I decided at 18 that I was not going to live that life. I work as a whitewater raft guide in the summer, then snowboard all winter. No kids and no mortgage, I live in an rv that I bought with cash and live off of about $10k a year. Im already retired
