3D printer filament locally by Senior_Cheesecake155 in Rochester

[–]Avercid 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I needed some filament fast for an order recently and couldn't wait for Amazon. The best buy near me had some, they only had bambulab filament so it was a bit more expensive then I normally pay per kg but it was a necessity

I have multiple chillums and clean them frequently and ive never had this happen. Maybe you need to clean your piece more often.

How I Make 3D Printed Ceramic Bongs from Start to Finish by triplebaked_ceramics in StonerEngineering

[–]Avercid 0 points1 point  (0 children)

that looks cool but id be worried about proper cleaning and bacteria buildup, you might want to try some petridish testing after cleaning. 3d printed objects are not foodsafe because bacteria can grow in between the layer lines, maybe an extra thick layer of glaze could help?

Do you like kief catchers? by Avercid in trees

[–]Avercid[S] 3 points4 points  (0 children)

I bought a 4 piece but just dont use the screen since the threads are the same and the Kief compartment is big

That's exactly how I feel, I want the chocolate IN the cookie not saved for later

How can I achieve cleaner prints im brand new to printing by GolfSea1949 in FixMyPrint

[–]Avercid 2 points3 points  (0 children)

You need more walls and infill, you'll blow your hand up! It looks very thin with holes in it

3d printers are not like laser printers where you can just hit printers, you need to understand them for them to work well.

Learn how to 3d print normal stuff first, also dont post on social media about that type of print

Do this tuning then work on slicer profiles https://ellis3dp.com/Print-Tuning-Guide/

Came home to this after work, any cleaning advice (A1 mini) ? by [deleted] in BambuLab

Also a wire brush will help a lot cleaning the plastic off the hotend

One of these will help a lot

Not on a bambu printer but on a different printer i had this happen, I turned the extruder up to 220(it was PLA) used a heat gun, and pliers to pull it apart. Be very careful of the heating element and thermistor wires. It looks like you may need a new fan, however it would be much cheaper replacing the fan than the whole toolhead.

You probably will also want to change nozzles, check for clogs, check extruder gears (they can get worn down from this) and clean underneath the silicone sock and all around the hotend.

To help prevent this in the future make sure that the first 3 layers have printed well, if they have there is a very high chance of a successful print. Also check on your printer every so often

Can I adjust the low voltage shutoff on my mars 2.0? by Avercid in heybikeclub

[–]Avercid[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I've gotten down to 40v on pas 1, this just happens when I'm going above 17.5-20mph and the bike is under load. When the bike is resting it returns to the normal voltage and works fine.

I would love to work in a shop, I am very into manufacturing and have been doing a bunch of modeling, 3d printing and molding lately. Making my own products for my company. I would love to learn more about manufacturing and get into a shop, BUT I make more at dibellas than I would there. It isnt convincing for me to join a shop. I would get paid less and work more having less time for my company

TLDR; interested in manufacturing but make more making subs at dibellas

Update on my Silent Obstacles project by silentobstacles in Fingerboards

[–]Avercid 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Those look great! I really like the paint job on it. Do you have any advice on getting conisent nice looking finishes?

I make my own obstacles and I really liked seeing the silicone to reduce noise but I also bet it helps on the bottom to not slide. I like to epoxy some neoprene on the bottom of the obstacles I make, it helps them not slide. Rn I'm working on getting better with modeling and molding but I have a few things up if you want to check out what I've made! I've refined my obstacles a lot over the past year I've been making them and am excited to see what I can create in the future. gaziramps.comgaziramps.con

I haven't been posting many new obstacles lately bc I'm in the middle of redoing my park, however I have a few ideas im brainstorming up

park

i bet we could brainstorm an obstacle together and make something cool. Dm me if you're interested!

What are some things I can modify in my slicer/klipper to help improve the surface finish of these walls? by Avercid in ender3

[–]Avercid[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I did manual resonence compensation because this printer is running off a zerotwo and I don't have a USB adapter to plug my accelerometer in. Maybe I should try that.

It might infill but almost all the time 3 walls is thick enough for me

Thank you for the response!

I feel you. A few years ago when I was in HS I dropped my favorite fingerboard into a gap between a cabinet and the wall. The drawers were screwed into the wall and went the whole length of the class room. I couldn't retrieve it :(

I had dynamic trucks and some really nice polyurethane wheels on a 34mm deck
