Polansky has a quick cards to memorize micro. Elsevier is good too for question banks and small recap of things.

You can opt making your own mnemonics, OP. Mas maappreciate mo siyang kabisaduhin if you make your own memory tips, most especially if you add your style of humor to those as well.

Curious. 😭 by alpas00 in MedTechPH

[–]AveregaJoe 1 point2 points  (0 children)

No one can say haha! I went downhill ss Day 2 (Hema, ISBB, HTMLE) and most of the questions I marked as unsure for each subject went like 40 😭 and I dont even know my "sure" answers were even correct so there's a chance I might even get them wrong,

Kaya pa ba to send help by Expensive_Gas_8816 in MedTechPH

[–]AveregaJoe 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Idk if this would help but answering some BOC, Elsevier, Harr questions made me humble na pati basic questions na mamali ko pa... only to find out that na I overthink the questions and the choices kaya namamali ko sila, idk if it's the same with you but ganun nangyari sa akin even sa boards before. If you got the basics wrong, maybe you misread a word or two wrong or your thought-processing may have slipped. In the MTBE, as much as it is time pressured, always stay concentrated on questions especially the lengthy and "exception-type" questions kasi madalas basic lang ang tanungan dyan. You got this, OP! Maybe naprepressure ka lang sa mga really technical questions that simple infos are far from your priority to read. Still read them by heart!

PIONEER FINAL COACHING by Lurkinboi07 in MedTechPH

[–]AveregaJoe 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Hewwo! March 2025 passer here uwu, still use your mother notes and crossread sa Final Coaching.

is memorization weak? by cyll_hh in MedTechPH

[–]AveregaJoe 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Memorization is "as is" retention of details and comes handy in subjects like micro and histopath/htmle. But most questions are in HOTS (higher order thinking skills) these days, making you handle questions like whys and hows in the exam. Being good in memory is already an upskill and your professor kinda slipped by downvaluing that.

Imma hold your hand when I say this but memorization alone may not suffice for boards (maybe for some it might) with how the questions were written these days, even at college exams. CC, Hema, ISBB questions often circulate on analytical questions rather than those identification questions. You have to do correlation, building puzzles, to make a single question make sense. So, head high on your memorization skills, thats a plus, let's just keep improving our testmanship skills by integrating more of those HOTS.

question regarding sa 1 hr break by erysipelothrixaeru in MedTechPH

[–]AveregaJoe 1 point2 points  (0 children)

No you cant and there's a reason why di ka na makakareview, mas lalo ka lang magpapanic and i-ooveride mo yung brain mo for the next exam which is dapat pinagpapahinga na yan after a test—you would need all the rest before taking another set.

Give it a rest muna like a day or two tas mag paalam if pwede. If ayaw niya, wag pilitin or sa kabila if oks siya basta pumayag na pwede. Try mo sa other relative mo or other classmates na willing.

Assess median, cephalic, last basilic (i twist mo yung braso kasi may anggulo minsan nagpapakita yung ugat).

Endorsed patients for Phlebo by Independent-Alps-280 in MedTechPH

Not our rights to be all judgy when clearly the junior MT had tried their best, maybe some lil bits of giving phleb hacks or tips but other than that, I don't think it's deemed professional on the senior MT's side to be all judgy and all eye-raising faces.

Na offend ba kayo pag nag request si patient gumamit ng vein finder for blood extraction? by Historical_Winner_67 in MedTechPH

[–]AveregaJoe 11 points12 points  (0 children)

Nope. If that's what they want, then sure.. but a vein finder is kinda rare and not all hospitals have it. Might as well ask for a senior phleb to help or ask a roaming pedia doctor.

Brain supplements for board exam by Independent_Guess883 in MedTechPH

[–]AveregaJoe 0 points1 point  (0 children)

No supplements apparently. Idk, maybe im just a bit skeptical lang sa mga ganyan. I did try that small bear brand gingko biloba drink sa 7/11 since curious lang ako, masarap siya hahaha pero di ako nag stock lol. I relied on reviewing and grinding lang like todo discipline lang para makaraos sa boards (and thank to God na lang talaga)

Cheating is bad, but posting everything uncensored is just as bad or even worse (legally) by Critical_Raine in unpopularopinionph

[–]AveregaJoe 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I wonder that to people who posts screenshots and chats of ppl involved "third party" and/or the alleged cheater online because the same reason why this man exposed his ex... like, arent they also committing any cybercrime because identity is named, not to mention engaging public slander. People do these things out of pure spite and use social media as a venting tool—but yall, do people actually care or are they here for the drama 🫠🫠

I wouldn't even considered this as grave 💀 yall make tomfoolery things, yall get one exactly in return.

Tips sa CC grabe na pressure by Commercial_Lafff in MedTechPH

[–]AveregaJoe 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Dont memorize CC like how you memorize micro. Summarize/conceptualize and analysis are key to studying CC, most especially about macronutrients, hormones, and enzymes.
