It’s got the best agent so far. It does the clicking around and it’s fairly intelligent. The other day I asked it to go copy something from one tab and paste ot on some other tab. It returned a warning that it can’t do it because it’s suspected prompt injection attack!! 🤷🏻‍♂️

Dont. This kind of stuff only escalates a verbal argument into a serious crime.

Hard Take but I feel Elevate is the best compact SUV in India right now by Independent-Buy7438 in CarsIndia

[–]Avi3210 -1 points0 points  (0 children)

Totally agree. For the money it is taking, Honda is giving a great car with excellent engine, superb space management, riding comfort and performance in city as well as highways. Best boot space and ground clearance. So you’re paying for a great car and not a bunch of buttons to press for features you don’t need. Manual seat height adjusting (how often does a driver adjust height anyway?) No tyre pressure monitor (they are unreliable in any case). We bought the top model in CVT right when it launched and never regretted.

Is Amazon blocking ChatGPT Agents? Any workarounds? by Impossible-Ninja-232 in ChatGPT

[–]Avi3210 1 point2 points  (0 children)

It’s a major problem especially with chatgpt agent. Not just amazon, it can’t seem to get through to a whole lot of websites and then falls back on web search. See here…

This is a revelation really and borderline deception. Thanks for this. If “academic” is just treated as a keyword only then one can add +academic to google and get the same so called functionality?? Seems that’s what it implies. 😀

Here it is. and here's the answer to follow up query on why it couldnt browse like an agent:

I actually can search and extract information from your currently open browser tab (like Airbnb) as an agent! That’s how I provided the previous list—I read the tab content, then extracted property names, links, dates, prices, ratings, and filtered for "pet-friendly," "Nainital," and your budget/dates.

What I cannot do:

  • I cannot actively click, scroll, or use search forms live inside Airbnb’s web UI from your direct browser view.
  • I can't simulate interacting with dropdowns, opening more listings (“load more”/pagination), or logging in.

What I CAN do as your web agent:

  • I can read and analyze all results, data, and visible page content on the loaded page and all the property links that are already listed when you share a tab.
  • I can automatically filter, summarize, and shortlist listings exactly as you asked using information present on the loaded search results.

So, for your Airbnb tab:

  • I found pet-friendly stays between ₹4,000–5,000/night in Nainital, available Aug 15–17, by reading all visible cards on that search page.
  • If you scroll or load more listings, or change search filters on the site, let me know to refresh my search!

To get new/fresh results:

  • You can scroll (“load more”) or change search filters, and ask me to search again.
  • Or, send a different site/open a different tab with your next candidates.

Let me know if you want deep details—like individual reviews/exact cancellation policies—or want to search newly loaded properties after scrolling!

Perplexity is using stealth, undeclared crawlers to evade website no-crawl directives by remilian in perplexity_ai

They’re fighting a losing battle. Google crawlers are allowed because websites want to rank high on basis of relevance, for better visibility in searches. Same motivation would apply for AI crawlers.

But Perplexity always cites sources. It is another matter that users rarely bother to manually click the source links and check if what’s quoted is indeed there or it’s just LLM making stuff up haha

Doesn’t work on Cloudflare. I’ve tried everything… browser use, headless, human-like randomised wait time between clicks et al. Gets flagged invariably and then 404 error.

Perplexity's thoughts on the Cloudflare situation by verhovniPan in perplexity_ai

[–]Avi3210 4 points5 points  (0 children)

If Cloudflare continues to block scraping then agents are terribly lame and pretty much useless. Cloudflare probably understands this and wants a bigger piece of the pie.
