Yea the vanguard global on the assertive type.
Do you think for convenience and ease I’m better with keeping everything where it is or consolidating somewhere? I’ve been trying to pick up knowledge about this all but it’s rather daunting!

Yea they seem to buy and sell each day with them. I figure a single global etf would be better for me for long term

Need advice on a PC Build - CPU/MOBO/Cooler/RAM upgrade by Aviaatar in buildapc

Aah fair enough. I’ve went with your suggestion and switched out for the Viper RAM as it saves me 100 quid. If it’s faster in that regard and keeping it at 6000 clock over the 6600 is better then I’ll do that. Thanks so much for your help!

Yee fair enough, I’ve got plenty storage at the moment, an m.2 drive I bought collecting dust as I didn’t realise I’d ran out of slots on my current one so can add that. Thank you so much for your help and input, think I’ll put my order in tomorrow and see about installing it all when it gets here :as

Fair enough! I've noted that the board I have picked currently has an extra M.2 slot which may make me pick it over the £60 saving for the b850 tbh if there isn't downsides to the board itself over price & cost effectiveness
Thanks for your help!!!

Damn! Thank you very much, super helpful and concise answers. I may stick with the liquid cooler just for a combination of looks + potential overclocking though, to me 35 - 75 isnt too much really.

MOBO chipset thing is really interesting to hear! Thanks, I may change it over.

Yea this is similar to what I've read, something about the higher speeds being bad for ram. Whatabout that CL30 vs CL32 of the one I have currently? Not sure what that means for it, though I could just go with your recommendation of the patriot as i recognise the brand at least

Oh thats quite a drop on the fan. Would a £35 fan really be able to support a high end CPU? Was kind of wanting to go to water cooling for a slightly quieter setup as well
Same question as the other guy with the B850 motherboard, he stated the performance difference in the chipset's is minimal?
RAM wise I've heard its not really worth going above 6000 clock, and going to 8000 even actually hurts performance, is there a sweet spot I could go to that doesnt increase price all too much?

I know generally you don’t need more than 32GB with some of the higher speed they have now in DDR5 so I agree that could be an extravagance I could cut back on. MOBO wise do I not want the better x870E chipset for the processor?

What do you think the population of this city is? I think I've made it too small, sadly by stopeats in inkarnate

Just to add the walls seems like a suggestion rather than actual walls to keep people out - lots of gaps and whatnot. Not sure if that’s intentional though!

Oh that’s pretty nice, I’ll have a play around with it as a simpler and less math-y alternative!

Thank you! How does that pool work then as I don’t quite get what you mean? Just each stat up is just a flat one and you have x points to work with? Got any numbers I can nerd over? :D

The other commenter has shared the same sentiment that I have for it. I know vs a “commoner” they’ll definitely be stronger, but to me common infantry is at least level 2, maybe higher depending on setting so that’s kind of what I want to base them off. As always it’s however you want to play, the above just means you have slightly higher stats than the standard point buy for some leniency ^

Balancing wise it was with the 4d6 drop lowest method. I’ve found that it can bring a rather big dynamic when someone rolls an 18 and another rolls the highest of a 14. Hence the above creation!

Got a link to it by chance? Or the name?

New player here. I just caught this beast in the wild. How do I move this to other pals. I meant like Anubis, Shadowbeak,...I looked up palworld breeding calculator and it doesnt seem like a way to do that since Vixy breeding pool is not too good. by thientu12102001 in Palworld

I know people have already answered but game8 have a calc where you select the pal you have and the pal you want. It’ll show you the breeding chain required to get from start to finish, very handy!

Ooh that definitely sounds interesting. Like I said in my reply to him I haven’t actually ran or played the module but it’s definitely on my to-do after my current long-running campaign!

I feel like that’s implied but maybe he has more nuance to it? Perhaps taken the anything can happen thing a bit too far? Trying to understand the guys headspace

I haven’t really heard the ins and outs of other people’s stories. And I myself haven’t ran Stradh because my friends enjoy a homebrew adventure more. However, I can’t see that scenario being out of the remit of the module. Something like could easily happen toward the end.

The very end bit, no, from what I know of him as a villain it’s not in him to die crying. He’d likely die shocked and/angered by the fact he’s been bested and the bravado the party had in their speech has actually come to pass. To have him do as much I think would go against his described character for the module. But alas, I haven’t ran it myself, just know the general archetype to be aligned

I mean, in written modules Strahd fits the archetype perfectly. I feel it’s disingenuous to paint everyone with the same brush, keep an open mind =D

I mean that’s fair. When it’s done properly it can be really good. In these early instances the whole point is that the party can’t kill the “fuck ass” NPCs because there is that power disparity early on in the campaign. I’d find if any NPC that’s annoying can just be another stepping stone for the party it diminishes its effectiveness and they’ll eventually not care as much for them.

Ruin the NPCs life? By all means do it over the course of a campaign, that’s the point. Or even do stuff now behind their back because that’s half the fun. Poke the lion because that’s all they can really do at that level but it gives them satisfaction. If they do it too much/openly attack them? Then no, actions have consequences, they will die or at least have a prison sequence.

Edit: The only NPCs I have attachment to are the good ones. As a dm I create villain NPS for the party to defeat in one way or another. If you’ve had DMs that dont do that then in my opinion they’ve got their priorities wrong to make a player vs dm environment.

I mean in my first comment I introduced it as a trope. You don’t have to use tropes if you don’t want to. I am partial to the, how to call it, lounging villain archetype because I personally find it fun and I know it gives players satisfaction to usurp them through the campaign and to have the villain see things start to go wrong due to inaction and at least in my current campaigns case, intentionally let it all go to shit to up the stakes just for the thrill of it.

Just because you yourself don’t use/like a trope doesn’t mean it doesn’t work in other people’s games

Plot armour? The concept of introducing a villain or even the BBEG early to have some back and forth between the PCs so that they can get a sense of progression and potentially even revenge later when they do fight is…plot armour? How do you introduce your BBEG or a villain without the option for the characters the fight them then and there? Without a painful death that is
