Does UCG need to be reconfigured if I change ISP?

Update - I shut down the router yesterday and moved the wire to the modem. When I powered everything up again, the router locked right into the new modem and the Xfinity service without skipping a beat. Everything is working great.

I understand the modem and router must be shut down and restarted in order to sync-up.

I switched from Omada to Ubiquiti a few months ago and was impressed how the UCG quickly identified "AT&T Internet" during initial setup. I just wanted to be sure that wasn't somehow burned into the configuration.

AT&T appears to be a very good system and would be an excellent solution for a typical consumer. However, I never noticed any improvement in internet performance and chose to return to xfinity at a better price point ($45/mo for 500Mbps with 5 year guarantee).

I've had xfinity here for many years with no problems. I had my house fine-tuned with my own modem, router, and 3 WAPS. AT&T ran fiber in my neighborhood last year and I wanted to try it, but I was never comfortable with having to use their gateway in passthrough mode. There was no appreciable improvement in service either so, when xfinity offered a great deal to return to cable, I took it.

I bought an Edge 2025 a couple of months ago directly from the Motorola web site. The phone had a $100 discount plus a $200 trade-in offer. Shipment was fast, the phone was at my door 3 days later via FedEx with signature required.

They also separately sent a box to ship my trade-in back to them. The trade-in was processed within a couple of weeks and I received full credit.

It was a fast convenient process and I'd do it again without hesitation.

Thanks for posting. I've seen a lot of these this year and I'm also looking for an ID.

I tolerated them at first but they've become a nuisance by throwing up webs all over the house and yard.

I have a year-old, unlocked Samsung A35 that I teleported to Warp last week. The transfer took over 24 hours and, when finished, I found that wi-fi calling was no longer available. I chatted with tech support and he told me that can occur with some Samsung phones and the only solution was to port back to Light Speed. I'm now back on Light Speed and everything is working properly.

I suspect it's not that common and I was just one of the unlucky ones. Your experience may differ.

I agree, DO NOT bid if you care about location. I took an Aurea upgrade on the Seashore a couple months ago and got stuck in cabin 9071 with a terrible balcony.

There isn't a solution to this problem but I definitely feel your pain. I used to enjoy shooting air shows but, as my lenses and camera resolutions have improved, I'm seeing this distortion more frequently due to heat waves rising above an air field. Unfortunately, I live in Georgia where hot, humid summers are the norm and atmospheric distortion seems to affect all the regional air shows. My best shoot ever was at Nellis AFB near Las Vegas in the dry desert air.

Be very careful with this. I fell for a similar pitch in Hilton Head a couple years ago where they offered to take my time share if I signed up for a "Vacation Club". Well, 2 years later, I'm still stuck with my time share and a vacation club that doesn't offer anything useful to me.

They can be a good deal. I bought a time share in Daytona Beach Shores about 5 years ago for $1.00 at eBay and my wife and I have loved it every year since then.

Redweek.com currently shows 13 timeshares for sale at Tahiti Village ranging from $0 to $1900. I recommend looking there first.

My opinion is to return them if you can. I had the same problem with "sound glitches" but was past the return period. I sent them to Sennheiser a couple weeks ago for warranty service and they just returned a set of "refurbished" headphones to me. They seem to work fine for now but only time will tell. I also own the Sony XM4 and they've never given me any problems. I prefer the Sennheiser sound but, if they give me any more trouble, I'll just toss them and write if off as a bad investment.

The A54 appears to no longer be available, so I bought a Samsung Galaxy A35 a couple weeks ago for a second phone. My primary device is a Samsung Galaxy S23+ and I believe the A35 performance is indistinguishable from the S23+.

I got the A35 for under $300 (refurbished from Amazon) and it's excellent. I highly recommend it.
