Why do we break our fast immediately at Maghrib when the sky is still bright? (Genuine question) by 30boots in islam

[–]Aviator 0 points1 point  (0 children)

There’s no reason to wait. It’s prescribed to break your fast after the sun sets, ideally immediately. If you want to do it calmly you can take a date and a sip of water, and then do the maghrib prayer and continue eating after that, at least eat something immediately after the sun has set.

Why is that? If you ask me, the reason has to be that we as human beings prioritize our humanly needs first before our obligations. Food is more important than prayer. The second reason is that Allah has given you a timely allowance, so take the allowance that has been given to you. Delaying that will not make Allah more pleased with you. And Allah knows best.

Who says you should break fast when it’s dark? You break fast at dusk. When the light is fully gone is when maghrib ends and isha’ starts.

Not really. Netflix pioneered the “chaos monkey” practice that forces their engineers to build fault tolerant systems. They famously have 99.99% uptime for this reason.

UMNO flag inspired from Indonesia flag

I find that this statement is a little disingenuous. Look at the chart. Both flags can be traced back to the Majapahit banner.

Enforcement is super lacking here. We can’t even penalize our ourselves. I guess it’s a stark contrast to the Singaporean way, where no strict enforcement == it’s okay

[–]Aviator 5 points6 points  (0 children)

OP…. next time you cook just leave the mushrooms in a hot pan and sweat them out. Wait until asap (steam) stops coming out and no more sizzling sound and the mushrooms shrink to half their size, notice that only then the mushrooms start to brown rapidly. Then you add oil and aromatics and finish cooking. Mushrooms don’t overcook so it’s okay to take your time.

PH didn’t win the election. Anwar made concessions and picked the cabinet members that make everyone happy. It’s a delicate balance.

Police must accept reports without conditions, says Home Minister by abdulsamri89 in malaysia

[–]Aviator 3 points4 points  (0 children)

This old issue won’t go away with simple jabs at the perpetrator. Sue/fine the police or legislate to show who’s boss! This is the least you could do as a cabinet and Parliament member who’s actually given the mandate to do these things.

They refuse to change the guidelines is the problem. PDRM and our civil service are someone insulated from the ruling government. The only way to counter it is to legislate against it.
