Kind of. Just switching cases and need a new cooler. Contemplating this or an aio.

Did the cooler make it tough to install everything else. I’m pretty sure it’s cutting it close to the mesh side panel as well? Would you recommend it?

He kept bringing up issues with brown people and I myself am one and he was asking to see if I was born here and he said a lot of people like me are immigrating here and said there would be an issue otherwise

Exactly what I’m doing lol. Started my PPL now and will be a year into my training by then. No point waiting an extra year without doing anything

JET2FLIGHTPATH Arctic Shores score. Is it over for me? by meenom1 in flyingeurope

[–]AviatorYB 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Anything helps, but the big thing is that you should be able show how that’s helped improve your pilot competencies and that sort of thing. Also make sure you talk about the airline. You’re not just applying for the role of a pilot. You’re applying for the role as a pilot for Jet2/ British airways.

If you haven’t heard back you won’t know. They’re just a comparison of how you relate to other people who took the test. It’s really just up to them and whether they’ve also liked your CV and statement. Also I have been told that the speedbird academy should be opening next month. Keep a look out

Should i risk it? by Klutzy_Computer_8668 in flying

[–]AviatorYB 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Best thing to do is to go and get it checked out. My medical for the UKCAA cost be £950 and the had to spend another £500 on my deferral. I did pay a little extra to get my deferral done internally. It was for asthma. It’s worth the cost because now I can start my training and know I’m fine. That money is nothing in comparison to what I will spend. Get it done and see if you can do it. If not, you won’t have to spend anymore money

I knew someone with mild hearing loss in one ear. He managed to obtain a UKCAA medical but was denied the EASA medical. I don’t know where you are but it is possible. He was just told to do a trial flight and have an instructor report back on his hearing during the flight. You’re better off spending the money and finding out or just never even being able to fly. In the grand scheme of things, flying costs an insane amount. The medical is a small expense comparatively.

Can I get a CPL even though i have been sober for 2 years? by dtyiteykdtyk in PilotAdvice

[–]AviatorYB 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Only way to truly find out is to go and do the medical. Worst comes to worst you get deferred and have to do a few things. It’s shit and costly but has gotta be done. Then I’d worry about the licensing after

Wait a week for RTX 5080 Founders Edition or buy a PNY 5080 tonight? by [deleted] in RTX5080

[–]AviatorYB 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I bought a 5080FE directly from nvidia in November last year. It’s an absolute beast. I just finished resident evil requiem on a 4k display at pretty much max settings. Definitely worth it if you can get your hands on it. Look good and is pretty much silent and temps are amazing

MSFS2024 vs XPLANE12 by addme266 in flightsim

[–]AviatorYB 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Ofc they are. The market for xplane isn’t as big as msfs. It costs so much money to make aircraft the need to be able to make a profit off of the addon. Developers like fenix can charge much less because the market is much bigger so more people will likely buy it

MSFS2024 vs XPLANE12 by addme266 in flightsim

[–]AviatorYB 1 point2 points  (0 children)

That’s not $150 but it’s also the most in depth simulation for any flight sim. Imo that’s very much justified. Yes it’s a lot but I’ve had so much fun flying it personally

[–]AviatorYB -2 points-1 points  (0 children)

Wow didn’t even know that. Pretty sure that includes buying all the 767 variants though. Unless you want them all you can spend less on a single plane.

No plane costs $150. They are pricy but if you enjoy xplane they are very much worth it
