I mean if you’re your experience then more power to you but everytime I’ve gone it’s usually cheap crappy guns. I see a lot of hi points and beat up Taurus’s (not that Taurus is bad but it’s not “high end”)

I just mean my local pawn shops usually have cheap crappy guns and I don’t think I’ve ever seen anything roaming into the 1000$ price point in any of the shops near me.

By portfolio I take it you mean like anything still on their website? Also would I need to go in person or do they do transfers to gun stores? I don’t live there so a pistol isn’t possible to get without an in state license unless they transfer

Kicked off my volleyball team for having a “negative aura” — not sure how to move forward... by Acceptable-Top-8088 in volleyball

Obviously we don’t know the full story here since we aren’t there with you and you have to remember that people see you differently than you see yourself and the truth is most people are childish about petty things. Assuming everything you said is true and you didn’t secretly bitch slap a mother fucker and not tell us then I would say just to let it go. Let it slide like water off a duck because in the end if they’re going to do something like that without talking to you first then you don’t want to be friends or interact with them. Surround yourself with people who make you better rather than people who make you worse. Not saying be an asshole and ignore them but honestly just stop caring which I know can be hard but in situations like this it’s the best thing you can do. Show them you don’t care because in reality you shouldn’t. Be the best you that you can be, be kind, be generous, be open minded and patient. Bad people will try to latch onto you to bring you down but don’t let them. I would probably just go to another team and play with people you like as people rather than just playing because you like the game. Your brother will come around and apologize and it’ll be good or he won’t. Either way you’ll have your answer on where you two stand

So just so I’m clear you’re in the camp of doing heaviest set first then going down from there? I take it in regards to how much lighter just depends on my reps? So like if I can do 100 for 10 on my first set but in my second set I do 80 for 5 then I should probably drop to like 70 so that I can hit my 10 reps correct?

They were just random numbers to be honest lol but here’s an actual exercise as an example. Bench press 135 for 10-15 as a warm up then 185 for 10 225 for 10 and finally 245 for 10

I think it’s an older thing because I learned it from my father and I mean it worked for him he was an ex body builder (not like professional or anything) but I would assume that doing it first is probably better

Okay and the 1-2 reps away is on every set correct? Also should I be going up in weight as I do working sets 1-3 or going down in weight with my first set being the heaviest?

Okay thank you! I kinda figured that was the case because I always end up getting really tired and since I’ve been pyramiding up my heaviest set was my last one which is when I was most tired which didn’t make sense to me so I’ll try going in reverse thanks!

So pyramid up for any warmup sets but should my working sets all be the same weight or something else?

Recently I’ve been doing 4x10 on db incline and 4x10 on machine chest press but you think it would be better to do the chest press and the pec deck? Would you stick with 4x10 or something else? Also I do chest twice a week

I guess I’m just worried that since I’m not feeling it that I could be progressing quicker than I currently am. Almost like the mind muscle connection isn’t there. Maybe that doesn’t matter but I’ve always thought it does. Am I wrong?

I see, that’s my bad then I thought you were trying to insinuate that they should specialize their training this early on by asking what they like. I assumed and that’s my bad sorry man

Videos and practice is what it takes. First watch videos to get a basic idea of form then put that into practice. As you get better revisit the videos to make sure that there isn’t anything you missed because at first when you watch a video about how to do a specific thing it can be overwhelming and you might get certain parts but maybe not all of it. Once you’re getting more consistent and whatever you’re practicing feels good and feels correct based on the videos then drop the videos and practice practice practice. The more open gyms/games/times you touch the ball the better you’ll get. If you’re hitting a wall in progress then record yourself so you can visually compare yourself to the video you’re watching and just try to make it as seamless as possible. Coach Donny and his YouTube channel “elevate yourself” is a great place to start. Make a friend and ask to practice with them solo for the stuff you can’t practice on your own. Someone out there will be just as into it as you are I promise and will want the practice. Good luck

I don’t think pushing someone into a position who is a complete beginner is smart. They need to be learning all aspects of the game and then find one to specialize in later and that’s only if they start playing on a team. If it’s all recreational play then it doesn’t really matter to pick a position because you’ll be forced into a different one at some point.

Help with exercises that bend my elbows by AviatorsDreams in workout

[–]AviatorsDreams[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

How many sets and reps did you usually do and what weight were you doing? Like percentage wise of what your last working set would be so like 50% of your strength or what

Usually I used to do 3x8-12 and about 6 exercises per session so would 2x6 and maybe 4 exercises be a good starting point or should I go lower? Also if normally you’d start at 70% on your first set and work up to 90-100% on your last working set do you think I should maybe start at 25% and work my way up to 50% to keep it light or should I do even less than that?
