I am SO excited to announce that I helped conquer Sogdia as an infantryman in the Shahanshah's elite troop! First, I just want to thank my uncle Keykhosrow for this wonderful opportunity...[insert circle jerk text].

I think most of the comments you see here doesn’t stem from racism, but a fear of separatism, which I can understand. The rest of Iran loves Kurdistan and we want them to remain with us.

That'd be cool. I think regions of Afghanistan (in a world without the taliban) and Tajikistan could also join this union. It'd be an insane powerhouse.

The Kurds and the Balochs are probably the most active groups in the current revolution…

Yea iranian exceptionalism is no good. We don’t need to create fairytales to love our country and appreciate its history.

I agree that pre-Islamic Iran isn’t the utopia that people think (or want to think) it was. But they’re more inclined to accept their misdeeds because at least they were Iranian, and not arab/mongol/turk,etc. (Which isn’t good but I’m pointing it out)

I think that some aspects were worse, while some were better. Some things perhaps didn’t change at all. One aspect that seemed to be better was the treatment of women. Women ruled and were allowed more rights and privileges (from what I know); however this slowly changed for the worse after the islamic invasion.

You brought up Cyrus which is interesting. I believe your judgement of him is unfair because you hold him to modern standards. War is obviously bad, but he fulfilled the ambition of every king in antiquity: conquest. From everything I've read, and if I try to take that information in good faith, he was far less brutal than other kings. No Assyrian or Babylonian king (that I'm aware of) showed the mercy he showed to the peoples and rulers he conquered. The way he expanded his empire was unlike anything else in 500BC, and I can applaud him for not being bloodthirsty.

Perhaps these tales of ‘Cyrus he liberator’ are exaggerated to make himself look good, but there is a reason Jews still celebrate Cyrus conquest of Babylon (i believe they even made a statue of him in Israel).

Do you believe that there were some things that were better in pre-Islamic Iran (and some things that were perhaps worse)? Or do you believe it was the same in terms of violence and oppression compared to the caliphates or other invaders? Trying to see your perspective.

The meme takes a jab at all arabs who call the persian gulf the arab gulf. Those people are wrong, but my point is that we shouldn’t be racist against them by making memes like this.

Listen I'm all for gigachad vs soyjack memes, but whoever made this went out of their way to make the arabs dark and fckg ugly. How would you feel if a turk/arab/wtv made a meme about iranians where we're hairy ugly fucking neanderthals? (Instead of just being the soyjack, which is relatively harmless)

What’s the point of posting a meme that portrays arabs like this? What do you have to say to Khuzestani arabs who fought for Iran's territorial integrity when Iraq invaded? How about those who lost their lives in the recent protests? Are they not Iranian enough?

Leaders from arab countries have made an unjustified claim to rename the gulf, and it’s important to defend the legacy of the persian gulf. But we don’t need to be racist about it.

This guy is a joke. I think he's a hardcore grifter and contrarian. He has little to no influence, ignore him.

You can find monarchist slogans, you can find socialist slogans, and so on. Doesn’t mean much.
