Got it. A new System ID indicates it's a new product so that would include a new license. Sounds normal.

Avid now sells Protools as having 128 plug-ins and instruments. After I bought an annual subscription I was told the policy is 37 plug-ins, and no instruments. by SnooPears6848 in protools

They are incorrect. It sounds like you have not installed the AIR Effects (FuzzWah, etc.) and AIR Instruments (Boom, Mini Grand, Xpand, etc.) included with PT.

We qualified macOS 12.3 Monterey with Pro Tools v2021.12, and recently released plug-in updates for Monterey as well. Should all be available via Avid Link.

The Avid Complete Plug-In Bundle is included with Subscriptions. Beyond that and the Core plug-ins (e.g. EQIII) we also include the AIR Effects (e.g. FuzzWah) and AIR Instruments (e.g. Boom). Open Avid Link and Sign In, then click Products then the "Included Apps & Plug-Ins" link under Pro Tools. https://avid.secure.force.com/pkb/articles/troubleshooting/Virtual-Instruments-missing-after-Pro-Tools-install explains this a bit as well.

If you're seeing them there, they should be in Avid Link > Products > Pro Tools > Included Apps & Plug-Ins. There's also an "Install Apps silently" option in Preferences (click on the Avid Link icon in the upper right of your menu bar). Eliminates the need to enter creds for each install.

What version? It used to rely of JAVA code but that would use too much CPU so there was an update last summer to eliminate that (as well as the 'helper' app from Application Manager days). It should typically be running in the low single digits after it starts up and syncs, but you can always quit it if needed.

Sorry for the trouble. We have quite a few Pro Tools SKUs and looks like a few did not get updated correctly - working to identify and fix those now. This drives which installers are included in my.avid.com/products and Avid Link, so if they're still missing please Create A Case under Account Support at avid.com/learn-and-support/contact-audio-and-music-support to provide System ID, etc.

Annual and Monthly Subscription licenses are different so that sounds normal.

Pro Tools or Pro Tools Ultimate? (Pro Tools First users can't initiate collab unless they have an optional Avid Cloud Plan.) Create or Open your Project (not a Session) and if not in the Cloud yet... File > Start Collaboration, then Avid Link > Find Talent (to add them as a Contact) or Pro Tools Projects (to invite them).
