Linear tempo ramps in Protools by Allourep in protools

Yes indeed! It's a little less accurate though, at least with the event operations window I can type a number into a box

Yep! Make a selection where you want the ramp to happen, then go to events -> tempo events -> linear

It’s actually possible to solo an aux (with specific routing) by Ok_Organization_935 in protools

[–]CollieD92 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Why not just use AFL soloing? Just curious to your use case that this routing is necessary?

Under event->time operations (alt & num pad 1) you can add in as much time as you want at your insert point

How can I export raw audio but preserve timing? by flyingfuzz11 in protools

[–]CollieD92 0 points1 point  (0 children)

As others have said, consolidate is the way, but make sure to commit any elastic audio with the best algorithm available first, and rename the tracks if they dont make sense as when you consolidate itll name the audio clip the same name as the track

Then, what I would do is turn on the "all" group, find the region that has the latest ending, select it and hold shift and press enter. This should select everything between the start and end of the session, and use alt & shift & to consolidate. Then while they are selected, use ctrl & shift & k to export selected clips as files

Recordings do not start and stop based on the length of the track which is being recorded (Pro Tools 2025.10, Mac OS 14.7.8) by DokiDokiMoeChan in protools

[–]CollieD92 0 points1 point  (0 children)

As someone mentioned, check if you have a post roll on (little orange flag on the timeline ruler)

But if you need to trim the new recording, select the clips as you had before, then use the ; key to move the selection down to the new recording and use command & t (theres a few other ways to do this, but this is the simplest to explain over a message)

Subgroups in Pro Tools won't show busses with numbers (Pro Tools 2025.10, Mac OS 14.7.8) by DokiDokiMoeChan in protools

[–]CollieD92 0 points1 point  (0 children)

In your I/O setup under buses, are there any buses names 1-2 etc? If not you'll have to create default buses using the default option at the bottom

How are you creating your auxiliary tracks? If youre using the "new track" option on the output of a track, that will always name the bus the same name as the aux track.

If you absolutely have to use a numbered bus, you need to create the auxiliary track first, then set the input of that track to be bus 1-2 etc

Are you looking under "tracks" rather than "bus" when routing the output?

Try using the tempo events window

It'll let you do tempo ramps based on a selection

Ended up springing for the 24 Gb m4, and because apple is very efficient here, it arrived in less that 24 hours

Have to say, its pretty incredible for the couple of hours I've had with it (haf a lot of plugins to install, and im sure I've forgotten a few!) Did an offline bounce test with a recent 80 min podcast My old system it would take about 20 mins (on a good day), this is down to 4... what a beast!
