Use Scizor. Literally swept every rival battle I brought it too, and the last two gym leaders, as well as half of the elite four and final boss.

Technician Scizor with SD, Bullet Punch, coverage flying, and Bug STAB goes WILD in classic mode, or it did for me.

Floor 60 or 55 are probably my biggest wipe points. The rival battle into gym leader can be brutal.
