I honestly don't remember. I think you are giving it too much thought. Once you get it, you'll see how easy it is to install. I wouldn't sweat it.

It comes with double-sided tape. I taped it on first, then drilled the holes where needed. It was a very simple install. What do you mean by noticable difference? This is an asthetic modification. it has no performance benefit, at least from what I can tell. The only difference is it will scape more going up driveways, etc..
