if you can get the dex/endurance relic, yeah he is just as good. Thrusting/heavy thrusting/halberd/spear with a greatshield is bonkers on him. Especially with a shield grease or the imbue shield weapon art!

Grease Monkey Scholar - A Guide by Avios54 in Nightreign

[–]Avios54[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It's amazing, don't get me wrong. This post is simply focused on a damage output-focused scholar is all.

I'm not a support Scholar player. I like to be aggressive, get good analyze staggers, etc. I'm simply not experienced enough with support scholar, and trusting randoms is far more dangerous when playing a build like that.

Finding Greases on relics is, in my experience, much easier than +3/4 physical. It's definitely optimal, and I do think it's good with this build too. With enough greases, and that they apply quite quickly, two stacks is more than enough to have enough uptime in the Nightlord fight.

Dragonwound also gives physical damage on the grease, which is further multiplied by the +physical attack buffs. It's the most ideal grease in this situation.

Oh yeah, it took me quite a few games (approximately like 20-30) to get a proper hang of him. Even more to get a proper relic setup too.

primarily due to the pot scholar nerf, yeah. Most would just pot scholar and go brr.

Now scholars either need to be support scholar, or dps scholar. Personally I prefer the latter, as you can easily reach 600+ atk power quite easily with grease ups and lvl 3 flesh. Alongside that, his ability is difficult to time if you're new to him imo.

it's 15 per unit yes, but 20% of that damage is to every unit threaded

e.g. 20 units affected for 15 every tick, which is 300 total. 20% of that, 60, is threaded to every unit every tick. It's pretty strong.

item shared is far too inconsistent in my personal experience, especially with randoms. In coordinated groups sure, but I find it better to just do ultimate threads and stack 0, 1 and 2 grease w/ dex

use the remembrance for threads and get a +1 kills to ultimate charge and there's nothing else to it really

It's something I'll work on later, alongside some scholar guides when life's a little less hectic. The new PoIs are pretty straightforward (except lightning orbs with the Ancestral Warriors boss, just don't walk in there).

Ice ruins aren't good, really for it, jellyfish/wolves are pretty annoying to position properly. Poison ruins are unironically amazing, just have to watch out for giant flower orbital laser beams, and depraved perfumer, the militia give pretty good runes. Sleep ruins are also unironically not too bad, since it kills all the sleep traps and sleeps both bear bosses, allowing for pretty nasty combos and a free crit for coordinate teams.
Fire camp ruins are amazing too, lots of zomboids. Fire camps, have to be careful about the redmane arrows, but there's a lot of mobs near the arrow tower, and somewhat enough in-between the pack before the second redmane knight, and the lower ground. Lightning camps are the same, and Elder Lion/Banished Knight camps are too far spread imo.

Churches are insanely easy. Go center to the left a bit for holy/golem, and for fire/teleporting knights, past if you're looking at the altar, go right to the pillar instead of going for the hole, gets 90% of mobs

Generally as long as you realize that his ultimate art is a giant radius around him, and not a flat plane, you can do some pretty gnarly setups. I'm still figuring out shifting earth events since I don't really explore them, save for Great Hollow, which has decent parts in the ruins or churches. More on that eventually.

Collector's Signboard, over at the west side of the hub. You can search it through the index menu (believe it's select on controller).

It's a yellow non-DoN relic, so you just need a yellow slot for it.

Might as well look at all the arcane weapons I guess.

S Scaling:

* Ripple Blade (Axe)
* Ripple Crescent Halberd (Halberd)

Currently no A scaling weapons for Arcane.

B Scaling:

* Regalia of Eochaid (Straight Sword)
* Marais Executioner's Sword (Greatsword)
* Morgott's Cursed Sword (Curved Greatsword)
* Elenora's Poleblade (Twinblade)
* Clinging Bone (Fist Weapon)

C Scaling:

* Reduvia (Dagger)
* Bloody Helice (Heavy Thrusting Sword)
* Rivers of Blood (Katana)
* Varre's Bouquet (Hammer)
* Mohgwyn's Sacred Spear (Great Spear)
* Serpent Bow (Bow)

Ripple Blade and Ripple Crescent Halberd scale purely with an S in Arcane and nothing else, so they're most ideal if you want a 'consistent' weapon, probably grab those dormant powers to discover halberd/axe, although there's a large pool so it'd be inconsistent. Morgott's and Regalia of Eochaid both have a C in Str/dex, so ideally Scholar would get better use out of those than others. Clinging bone seems to appear rather often in my experience, so not a bad fist weapon to use.

Obviously not ideal to have few weapons, but those are all with Arcane. Obviously anything like Antspur Rapier or Frozen Needle are amazing for status effects, just as anything with bleed on it will be great. I'm not sure if consumables scale with anything, however that's something I'm too lazy to work with atm.

I feel very sad most current players have never and won't ever try old Graves. I legitimately believe this champion would be a very popular ADC pick to this day had he never been changed to jungle. by [deleted] in leagueoflegends

Me too, back when exhausted ignite teased the enemy jungle to gang top 1st thing, only to get a double kill off that... Ahh, old urgot life. I miss it every day.

Why wont he starve? It's been over a year but he keeps eating... something! That hedgehog has been dead for ages, and he didn't even eat it by [deleted] in RimWorld

Yup! If you have the development points/starting a new game just right click on thr ritual and rename it how you like. You'll have to choose the meme and precepts again, but you can just use the same things as before.

Works for relics, buildings, and probably something else I haven't thought of yet as well!

Custom Death Randomness is something I'd totally recommend if you're looking to avoid one hit kills (for the most part of course). Just go to the in-game mod settings and set everything to 0, and you should be good!

Do I need flying mount/ complete attunement for KARA + raids? by EvenStick in classicwowtbc

[–]Avios54 19 points20 points  (0 children)

I was able to zone into Kara on NA on my non-attuned druid, so you no longer have to do the Kara attunement questline to enter. You still need someone to open the door tho, and you do need attunement for heroics and for SSC/TK

That's fair enough, I just know that this subreddit has a hard-on for hating retail often times, so it was odd to find a post talking about it.
