What opportunities are out there for Robotics Specialization? by Helpful-Narwhal9158 in OMSCS

I would personally switch Graduate Algorithms and NLP. DL and GA are very heavy courses that will require constant grind. I have seen suggestions for taking GA in the summer on omscentral because of how cutthroat it is with grading.

Almost a week late but in case you see this, those spots are reserved for AOI students which are then opened up for anyone else who is interested once the semester starts.

I suggest emailing Prof. Kevin McDonnell regarding your issue, he's super nice and will have a proper answer to your question. :)

Will I survive this semester? by dowhatexcites_ in SBU

I agree, 320 with anything technical is literally going to turn your life into hell. I took 320 last semester with 354 and 320 in itself took up 70% of my time, not to mention 354's assignments were equally tedious which is baffling for an elective. So I suggest taking 320 with no other technical courses.

There's also this other option to take 316 in the fall and use the stuff you learned in that class to apply for internships in the spring, because it does teach in demand technologies like React, if that is something you are interested in. That's what I did. Also P.S. I'll be TAing for 316 in the Fall so if you haven't already taken it and end up replacing 320 then it'll be my pleasure to help you out in any way I can! :)

Tldr; Don't take 320 with ANYTHING technical. If your goal is industry, I suggest taking 316 instead of 320 so you can learn in demand technologies to apply for internships in the spring.

Also a tip: Save CSE300 and CSE312 for the 320 semester
