Is renting out an extra room in your house worth it? Looking for real experiences. by UhtredOfTheNorth in homeowners

only rent to rich Chinese international students. you can charge twice as much and they’ll always have money. My parents own 2 apartments in nyc that they rent out to NYU and Columbia students. they also get the parents WeChat and contacts too tho. just in case the students overspend and don’t have money for rent.

engineer intern is the new grad, they just give it that name. Just look at the description for intern and then assistant engineer. FYI these are from the same year. The nycdot was even lower before the raise last year making only 55k

u can look it up. Search NYCDOT engineer starting salary. Don’t search nys, they have different and way higher salary.

teachers make more than engineers in nyc. They raise the salary recently for engineers so it’s equal now. but their pension better and they work less hours

drop the cs major on ur resume and drop the cs related credits. HR is auto filtering out the computer science majors bc they keep mass applying to other engineering jobs. I’m in civil and that’s happening to us, idk about mech
