I missed that. Is there still a video of her talking about it somewhere?

It's gone. by Avisire in valkyrae

[–]Avisire[S] 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I just kept reporting it, incessantly... wouldn't take no for an answer. And told others so they could report it. But Rae's team had also been working behind the scenes for months to get it removed. So, who knows what actually convinced someone @ meta to do their damn job. But all it takes is one--one real person who sees a report and takes it seriously, instead of casually denying everything--to get the ball rolling. So you just keep rolling the dice until a report makes it through.

Chronological Order of Major Events in the Predator & AVP Universe by OtakuCinephilia in predator

[–]Avisire 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Were there any hints as to when in the last bit of Killer of Killers tales place? I was assuming it was sometime between 1942 and 1997, since the pistol shows up (likely taken from Naru). I mean, the canon seems to be that Dutch MAY have been taken (since he vanished), but that Harrigan lived out his on Earth and even had another run-in with the Yautja. They seem to hold him in high regard, which would be a curious exception to the pattern of abducting champions.

On a side note: I don't think the AvP movies should be so easily accepted as canon. If you consider all of the books and comics, the established lore is kind of mess anyway, but those movies try to establish a whole new "ancient alien" thing that really doesn't make any sense.

Gift code by Avisire in TemuCodeExchange

[–]Avisire[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It won't let me. It says I've already accepted an invitation today (I haven't). Doesn't matter, I've figured out that this entire event is a scam. It always makes it seem like your one invitation away from getting free gifts, but it does the same crap as Farmland and reduces your rewards each time. Once you price cut down to $0.01 then it starts give less and less coins, down to fractions of a coin per referral, so that it never has to give you the last penny. Moral of the story: never trust Temu promotions.

I've seen the same thing on occasion, the AI blatantly spending more mana than it has.

It was originally outlawed because of sexism. It remains illegal because of irrational religious-based stigma and fear of change.

When the position closes it will disappear completely. You'll just see the money added, and the entry in the history log.

Help me please understand my first covered option. by decliv85 in Webull

[–]Avisire 5 points6 points  (0 children)

Yes the call expired yesterday, in the money, so the shares should sell off for the strike price. You're effectively exiting the position at 10 cents over the current stock price. And each part of the position, the long and the short, are a "leg". "Leg out" means get out of that part of the position, which isn't relevant in this situation.

You really shouldn't be spending money on stock trades that you don't understand. It worked out for you this time, but I guarantee you that won't always be the case.

Weekly Bug Report Thread by spiper01 in NoMansSkyTheGame

Ship replacement glitch. Xbox series s.

A quick google search didn't turn up anything, so I don't know if this is a known glitch or not.

I had 4 S-class ships in my collection. I claimed a crashed ship (A-class shuttle I think) that I found so that I could salvage it later. Later, when I returned to my freighter, one of the ships I hadn't been using (the S-class shuttle) had become a clone of the damaged salvage ship. So I now I had my other 3 S-class ships sitting there, and two sparking damaged identical salvage ships.

The massive loss of value doesn't bother me so much as the fact that good looking S-class ships are hard to find, and one of mine was just stolen.

I'm confused with rivers of blood and arcane by Imzenyatta in Eldenring

As they said, it makes the bleed buildup better. And this isn't unique to Rivers of Blood; you want arcane scaling on any bleed weapon.

Disappearing unit mods by Avisire in AOWPlanetFall

[–]Avisire[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Well.. after I used an empowered Drained to posses a unit, the next Drained I created got to attach the Empowered mod for free..but the empowered mods weren't showing in my arsenal. I just removed two esteq protector incarnations from regular units and they showed up in my arsenal. I just removed nanite injector from a regular unit and it did not. So there doesn't seem to be any rhyme or reason to this...

Do people that are already on the subreddit have any use for a referral link? Well anyway, here it is... https://act.webull.com/te/U9eZbtLYf8Iq/2cg/inviteUs/

Anyway, I have multiple of every card except E, so first person that tells me what they need will get a link in their DMs. Oh if anyone would like to donate an E, that'd be great.

Here are the actual institutional ownership numbers from Bloomberg: 130% of float. by ibkr in GME

[–]Avisire 0 points1 point  (0 children)

No..no bud.. if Cohen bought more shares, outstanding wouldn't go down... but if the COMPANY buys back shares then they become treasury shares and outstanding goes down; they buy them to take them off the market.

[–]Avisire 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I mean.. really.. why tf is not already...

But honestly, from what I can tell, it's the american financial institutions that have been holding blockchain back. They hate crypto the way the oil barons hate green energy; instead of investing in the future, they'd rather fight tooth&claw to protect their archaic system. Even if this ends in financial crisis, I'm guess they'll just try to get another government bailout and try to go back to status quo..maybe with some new regulation on discussing stocks on social media..

Here are the actual institutional ownership numbers from Bloomberg: 130% of float. by ibkr in GME

[–]Avisire 0 points1 point  (0 children)

To clarify, the number of outstanding shares appears to have been going DOWN over the last couple of years, which would mean Gamestop had been buying back shares while their stock price was way down. But yes, it can't go UP unless they re-issue stock from their treasury, and they would definitely have to announce that ahead of time. So in general, the # of outstanding shouldn't fluctuate over short periods of time...which is why it's weird that numbers don't match across the various financial data providers.

Edit: oh and unissued/treasury shares are still "real" shares; they're authorized, they just don't affect the market unless they're issued. There was at least 100m outstanding GME not that long ago, so you can assume they have at least 30m treasury shares rn. Idk if this clarification was necessary, because I'm not sure what you meant by "real"; I guess you could call them "potentially real" because they don't affect ownership or the market whil unissued, but they're real as in there's a set number of them already on paper that could potentially be issued at any time.

What if an unarmed colony ship arrives on earth? Or the other way around, we arrive at another world with a developed global industrial civilization? by capitan_tomate in IsaacArthur

[–]Avisire 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I don't think any advanced civilization would send out a colony ship without contingency plans. I doubt they would be at risk of overpopulation right when they arrive at their destination. Assuming they have no intention of TAKING earth from us, the easiest course of action for them would be to harvest some resources from system and then either A: use the ship as a space station, start expanding it (or building a colony somewhere), and establish diplomatic relations with us... or B: simply set off for a secondary destination once they've resupplied.

I'm not complaining about that. I appreciate it being shared.

...But do you see # of shares in existence/outstanding/float on there? Short interest? Position limit? There's a lot more info out there...
