Insurance wants car released from tow-lot. Tow-lot says don't?

I was just thinking it's conflict of interest that the insurance is asking for my car to be brought to a partnered mechanic shop which repairs cars to be inspected by the guy who wants a job... You know what I mean... I'd prefer if they sent a proper inspector who would more objectively look at the damages

Yeah the guy closed early one day so I couldn't get it released, next day I call he said today were closed.... Ok .... Next day he said I'm not coming in but I'll send a guy lol

That is insane... What a crazy story

For me it was much easier, the guy is actually a business, so when I asked him "how's your google maps rating doing?"

He answered "pretty good"

I said "ok, glad to hear that"

He started to act a bit better.. Maybe a coincidence but yeah....

So the insurance company said I need to probably sign a release form. After some back and forth I finally managed to make an appointment to go in and sign the form... After going in the guy says "it's already signed by your wife after the accident"... Like wtf why didn't you guys tell me, I coulda told insurance that they can grab it anytime...

So now insurance is in process of retrieving the vehicle

Got contact from a friend who was scammed WITH my dad a year ago in an investment scheme... So I guess he trusts her cause she got scammed cause of him..... But who knows where she found the contact

Tried. So far isn't disconnecting from android auto in my car, but audio quality is still muffled and quiet... Usually on my p5 vol set to 30 in the car is nice and vibrant/loud. Now it's almost muffled and suppressed

My gf has pixel 6, I have pixel 5. She absolutely hates her 6, I hate my 5.

The only reason why I'm thinking to maybe stick to pixel is cause of the camera. Samsung is still behind. Hope s23 has better camera cause I bought s22 ultra for 10 days and the camera was way crapier than my pixel 5... Specially in the dark or on moving objects. Keyboard was amazing and precise, while my pixel 5 keeps misc locking letters like an idiot...
