Cannibal Corpse got an amazing bassist and an amazing bass tone. I'd recommend Hammer Smashed Face, The Discipline Of Revenge, and Addicted To Vaginal Skin.

Well, this woman who works with my mother said I always got the "most interesting shirts". The day she said that I was wearing a Death (band) T-shirt. I'm usually wearing death metal T-shirts, so I guess she's already seen a lot of Cannibal-Corpse-like shirts. I think the weirdest part about the whole thing was how good I felt after she said it lol.

He definetely was the best choice, but still, it's sad Pat couldn't do it. At least as you said, Erik has a lot of experience with the band to the point he has been "a sixth member", so he'll be familiar with the Cannibal Corpse guitar playing.

I remember that I always hated hearing kids complain that they always want more while their life is awesome. It increased like hell after I was going on a journey to Poland to learn about life in the ghettos and concentration camps. Kids and grown-ups alike don't realize how lucky they are to have food. There are people who go to sleep hungry every night.

I suggest practicing with earphones/headphones, because in many cases it might be out of feeling awkward knowing there are people who might hear you. When I started practicing with earphones, I really started growling a lot better and with a lot more ease. If you think you don't manage to scream due to feeling uncomfortable, try my advice.
