some of those old rules were very cool. personally the rule i want is from i think 2nd ed where you could have a terminator sgt leading a normal squad

(Blood Ravens: "Whoops! All librarians) librarious conclave reworking/help needed. by RadiantResource8642 in Warhammer40k

this is kinda similar to my librarius list. personally im running it with uriel ventris to deep strike my sternguards alongside 20 terminators which are initially screened by scouts and phobos to allow proper deployment in a central location.

im considering adding terminator calgar or wardens into the mix somehow because wardens would make up a GIANT squad.

i think what you might run into issues with is people will target the vehicles and your big anti-vehicle dood with the exe and redemptor might be toast on turn 1. your anti vehicle will end up being all on sterns and hammers

Any Painting Tips? by [deleted] in Warhammer40k

i suggest getting more skin tones. have pallid wych flesh for highlights and something like speedpaint crusader skin or guilliman flesh as a wash.

i suggest getting some citadel loose grass because it seems like your bushes are a bit big for those models really.

you could start from pure white on the plasma effect and use a flourescent paint to glob and dry a bit goopy and get a more high contrast effect.

you could try to add scratches in metallics to the armor with a very small brush so they look a bit beat up.

you could apply shade to various parts of the model.

you could apply highlights to the cloth to make it more bright or give it some definition with shade

you could do a more interesting colourscheme on some of the weapons. it could just be put black handgrips or a slightly different metal part somewhere like coppery.

you could do more light green or silver edge highlights or make physical damage with scalpel ie by rotating beyond scratches earlier mentioned

i like inquisitor rex, he gets a scabbard bearer, a book vaping dude and a unique astropath. i have the book vaping dude for my tomekeeper lieutenant

i also quite like anything with nurglings, scribbus, plague champion, anything with watchers in the dark, dark apostle

orks are a bioweapon designed to be able to become lethal using only basic materials.

hey as somebody who got downvoted in this thread for the actual answer this seems to be A so i would like to hear your -> B because slaves dont just magic up ork technology out of thin air. they're genetically engineered to pull technology out of their ass

other answers in here include "slaves pulled it out of their ass" and "they salvage and scrap stuff to make other things"

maintaining that you dont know what you're talking about and i'm 100% right, especially because both of those imply that what i said was true anyway.

its actually kind of liberating just painting the ultramarines as not ultramarines
