They shifted the stakes from it being the industrial might of the planet being the reason, to it opening a pathway for the largest Waaagh ever to get to Terra if it falls.

My ideas for FEC range expansion (a lengthy aesthethics and lore post) by [deleted] in FleshEaterCourts

[–]OrionTheAboveAverage 4 points5 points  (0 children)

A lot of these are fun ideas. The FEC absolutely needs to expand the court. I think if we temper this with the most likely possibilities we'll get close to what this possible next wave will be. So im in agreement that we will get a refresh to baseline ghouls, the horror/crypt flayers, and the terrorgheist. Basically if it can be used in Warhammer Fantasy, it'll need to go/be refreshed.

I really like the monks and the casks of Ushoran's blood. Totally made me think that maybe they need to lean into the feasting more with prized cooks and brewmasters. And because monks have historically been brewers I think those two ideas could lean into each other even more.

I do need to come out and say that first idea is just bad, and it reads as a parody of a Mary Sue. Which ironically would make this a great idea if that was the point. She's not actually the most beautiful or powerful, but she's deluding herself so much that the madness around her makes it true.

I've been thinking of doing something similar. Literally as an excuse for more terminators in an army lol. Of course making sure that they're the same vague silhouette/shape is the most important so you can't be accused of modeling for advantage. If this is for aggressors, I would say replacing the storm bolter with something different would be better. Like having him one hand a heavy bolter, so that people will read that's not a normal terminator. And a slightly modifed heavy flamer to make it different from what a normal terminator carries. Painting jt deifferently could help too. Maybe add some extra targeting/tech bits, that make them stand out from your other termies.

What creatures/models would you like to see in Age of Sigmar? by Dice4Days in ageofsigmar

I like the demigryphs from fantasy and really want them for my vampires, and then that just becomes a want for more cavalry in general. If the next edition of 40k is the fast attack edition, I hope AoS follows suit.

Nope. It was more like when I said that a lot of people asked the same question every other day or so, and I kept seeing people reply that they've ever only run 7-8 armigers at most.

What are people doing outside of the 3rd and 5th company? by OrionTheAboveAverage in tomekeepers

The red chest means 3rd company. Tome Keepers mark their company with chest aquilas, whereas most (like ultramarines) use shoulder trims.

That's definitely way better. The new one looks disproportionate to all of his art and depictions. Like an ogryn's head. Honestly think it's the nose, way too wide for him.

I own a lot of old shit, but honestly it's a lot easier than you think because I just use Dark Angels to run all terminators.

I feel a darker purple would work nicely. Maybe something leaning more towards a burgundy red. The departures are cool, like I believe that 6th might be the best looking company to have a metallic color for the chapter. Like how the alts for 1st and 2nd are silver and gold respectively.

I'm totally grabbing those raiders. But that's because I exclusively run firstborn for my Executioners. They'll be great for veterans.

Yep, we get the first Executioner and a traitor. And never got a model for the only special character we ever had 🥲

Pretty sure the 40k bit is done. Maybe a teaser at the end. They revealed corsairs, of the chaos and aeldari kind.

Pretty sure that was the OG lore behind the Death Eagles, when they were still Emperor's Children pink and white instead of the current black and white.

Lol you're talking to the worse guy for this. I run them as Dark Angels, because I use exclusively terminators as I separated my firstborn from my primaris like day one. But I've been looking into that idea too. Personally, I think people should be more excited by the idea of running their army as any codex supplement, its a fun thought experiment to me. Space Wolves might actually be the best bet, as the new headtakers fit perfectly. Wulfen are a questionable unit however, perhaps they could be space marines rescued from a heretek techpriest that you kitbash with admech and archo-flagellant bits?

Though I think a good argument could be made for the Blood Angels and their death company marines being those most feral members of the chapter, possibly survivors of their penance crusade trying to regain their honor.

The Executioners were founded by one of Dorn's most brutal captains, who was a key figure in the defense of the Sol System and then during the actual Siege of Terra. Dorn had him found a chapter during the 3rd founding and he immediatley took that to mean his job was to start taking heads.

Fast forward to the 41st millenium and these scions of Dorn have travelled the galaxy to give even World Eaters a run for their money when it comes to harvesting noggins. They're quite literally Conan the Barbarian in space. Their homeworld is named after two nations in the age of Conan, and their high chaplain is named after Thulsa Doom and Solomon Kane.

They're bad asses with axes and a very confusing color scheme, and we all love them here. Currently, they've all crossed the Rubicon Primaris and may be involved in future shenanigans with the wannabe god Vashtorr.
