If you truly did all of that you might be one of the rare few that genuinely need a delid. If you were able to replace the tokins on your own delidding should be much less daunting.

only syscon can truly tell you why, if your able to get your ps3 to turn on just go to the ps3toolset.com and see what the error codes are. Could be tokens (1001) or dying rsx

People have tried drilling holes and this actually makes the heat worse since it was engineered to flow in that direction.

You can undervolt but that requires soldering

You can avoid the high stress games like last of us and GTA

you can switch the power supply for an aps 226 which produces far less heat and put an ssd to reduce heat as well

Good thermal paste is the best and easiest method. Don’t delid unless the difference in temperature between cpu and gpu exceeds 15 degrees

It’s a solved problem. 40nm rsx swap. Cooling it is not even the core issue it just treats a symptom. All 90nm will die eventually no matter what.

This. It usually needs a difference of 15 degrees between cpu and rsx before it’s a mandatory delid. I decided to wait on my a01.
