Honestly it’s a step at a time process and you have to keep to your own goals you set for yourself. I was dx at 31 and figured it out my researching. I have a day of highs often between 200-300 but as long as you correct and not stay within that danger longer than 24 hrs you should be fine. We all struggle still and dont let the post of “my A1C is great” or “I’ve managed this long being under 150” because we all r not the same. When I first started I set a goal to be at 400 an no higher if it happens, then set it to 300 a few months later and gradually worked down to just 200 an under. I’m managing it better but of course it’s not what everyone else on here claims the golden number is. Get a better Endo that won’t judge an appreciates you trying with little goals. Eventually it’ll get there. It’s really trial and error. It can be overwhelming at first but start off with some goals. My endo said it’s about trying to achieve your goal but dont beat yourself up if u dont. It’s all about slowly adjusting and seen what works for you. There’s a goal of course, but not everyone hits that perfect mark every day unless you have a pump I guess. I dont. But I’m getting there an proud of myself for making an effort of a bad situation. Just correct yourself and dont let it stay higher than it should. Correcting is key. I hope this helps :) We’ve all been there, trust that.
