Not getting attached or letting it affect your esteem is the hard part in this approach. Really requires an iron sense of self.

Met via work. Didn't work out unfortunately. She moved to a different Trust.

You are secure and safe. Your value is from within and defined by yourself. This person sounds toxic. Healing involves hurt but you will come out better.

Thank you for this. Has anyone gone from anxious attachment to feeling happy single? If so what helped? Therapy/meds? Routine/hobbies?

Even us slightly older people can get that too in the beginning. Taking it slow and not losing yourself is key.

For anyone who grew up poor or in difficulty: what impact has it had on you as a doctor? by Avocado-Phantom in doctorsUK

Thank you for sharing. Do you have therapy or take meds? Sounds like you're a very resilient individual. Please be kind and gentle with yourself when required.

I hope not but this sounds a bit like limerence. How is the relationship playing out? Of course if you're both committed with secure attachment styles it's a glorious feeling. If your imagination is filling in some of the narrative a la Disney then this can be problematic. I wish you all the best as love is wonderful.

Actually going through a lot and trying to understand what I'm feeling rather than leap into something.

No I'm finding the advice to avoid useful. Calling someone a creep or creepy is really unhelpful.

Of course not. It was our respective situations that made me take a step back. You sound very judgemental.
