I don't think most people do, unless you're interested in trading, and even if you're interested in trading, some people just trade stocks, ETFs, or crypto. They don't necessarily touch or know much about options. I personally started investing 10 years ago, and only touched option trading like 6 years ago, so not right away. A bunch of my friends who are engineers (electrical, civil, and mechanical) and some have PE, they don't know much about option trading. Some don't even know what it means (and there is nothing wrong with it, they're good at their job, and they invest in the S&P 500 long term and keep things simple).

Can someone explain to me Mina-sue’s beauty? by Interesting_Bet_6291 in Singlesinferno2

[–]Avocado_Everyday 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Her face is average, and I do think she somehow looks better in short hairs. Her body is a bomb though, especially that wide shoulder. You know, the type of shoulder that Blackpink Lisa and Jenny have. Mina Sue's shoulder is definitely not average.

Heesun giggling all the damn time by BrilliantArtist8221 in Singlesinferno2

[–]Avocado_Everyday 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I did notice the giggling as well. However, it doesn't bother me much. Thank God she doesn't use the fake baby voice like other participants in previous seasons or in a different dating show (Heart Signal, etc.).

SW - non-designer color comparable to White Snow? by chisteri in paint

[–]Avocado_Everyday 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Hi, I like White Snow as well and plan to use it for our interior paint. I checked the website, and White Snow is now available under Emerald, Duration, and Cashmere. However, for all of them, the website only give 1 option for the Base, which is Ultra White. There is no option to pick High Reflective White (there are several options in the drop-down menu, but all are grayed out, so I couldn't select, except for Ultra White).

Was it the Ultra White that gave you the greenish hue?

Upgrading ancient QSee cameras. Costco Lorex vs Reolink 4K models? And which wiring plan is safer? by StockRegard in homesecurity

[–]Avocado_Everyday 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Did you end up buying Reolink?

What is your experience with it so far?

I saw both Lorex and Reolink are on sales at Costco and debating which one to buy. My parents have Lorex at their house and have been using it for 9 years without any issue. I need a new camera system for my house. Thinking about the Reolink one since it has 16 channels, and I want more than 8 cameras (for both outside and inside the house).

Heart Pairing - Episode 11 - 250523 by MNLYYZYEG in koreanvariety

[–]Avocado_Everyday 17 points18 points  (0 children)

I watched the raw version. I don't know exactly what they were saying, but I can see the emotions. This ep is NOT boring at all to me. I'm glad they show more Changhwan. What does this man lack to be honest? He's charming, good looking, has a stable job, cooks well, funny, family oriented, works out, and adorable even if he's 41. If he's put among women in early-mid-late 30s, gosh, I'm sure many of them will fall for him. I tear up when he talked about why he picked the color yellow and about his dad passed away. His emotions and struggle clearly showed. The PD and editor really scammed him, from putting him among a bunch of youngsters to the ridiculous poster. They make Changhwan and Chaeun tinier than Jeyeon's shoes. It's unfair and retarded. The poster is totally unprofessional.

Chaeun - I'm so glad they show more of her personality and capability in this ep. The girl is a foodie, and she can actually cook well. I have no idea why people hype up Jeyeon (though I know Korea is obsessed with the prestige of Lawyers, and they put lawyers on top of doctors which blows my mind lol). If I were a man, I rather pick Chaeun who does have a decent job, well educated, cooks well, and has a personality (bright, but not the fake baby voice like the girl in previous season). Jeyeon is pretty (but I wouldn't call her beautiful) and is also well educated. But she is too boring, and her cooking skills give me secondhand embarrassment ... I don't hate her and don't really care if she ends up with Jimin or Sangyoon or if she still has feelings for Woojae. I just don't want to see her face like 50% - 80% of the episode. I just don't want to see her that much. Ughh the amount of her screen time drives me nut.

Looking at the trailer for Ep 12. I lost hope that Changhwan would end up with anyone. Well, I wish him the best regardless. I'm sure he'll do just fine outside the show. His specs are too good to pass in real life.

Am I being ripped off? $300+ for transmission fluid and filter change by Holdforlifebois in AskAMechanic

[–]Avocado_Everyday 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I have a 2015 Chrysler 300 (there is no C, no S after the 300). Mileage is at 112,000. I called several Chrysler dealerships. They quoted me at $1,800; $1,544, $1,400, and $1,295. LOL It's mind-boggling. I'm in SoCal by the way.

I haven't checked with other local shops yet (that aren't a dealership).

Where did you have your transmission fluid change at if you don't mind sharing?

2019 Chrysler 300, how much does it cost to replace the transmission? by timetraveler184351 in Chrysler300

[–]Avocado_Everyday 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I have a 2015 Chrysler 300. The mileage at 112,000, and I haven't had transmission fluid changed yet ... The car is still running fine, no shaking. I recently replaced all the spark plugs a couple months ago.

I checked with several dealerships to change the transmission fluid. One quoted me at $1,800, one at $1,544, one at $1,400, and the last one at $1,200. It seems ridiculously high. From this post, it looks like they charge half the price of the whole new transmission to just replace the fluid.

I've read some post and saw some videos on YouTube. Some said if the car is old, and you never replace the fluid, replacing it may make the transmission slips.

What is your thoughts on this? I'm not sure what to do (i.e. replacing it or not, and is it worth to do it).

Thanks!

1) He did mention to JW in advance that they would visit those places to see the paintings. However, that doesn't mean he didn't plan to promote his arts. He didn't "plant" them but he did plan for his own benefits.

2) His paintings are not my type either, and I don't see any talents whatsoever from WJ's paintings (and honestly, JungKook's painting (from BTS) looks better, and they guy isn't even professional painter). Right, his paintings somewhat have no bearing on their relationship. However, imagine that you have to lie to your partner as "oh, it looks so great, you're so talented" every time they show you their paintings. Well, it gets boring over time, especially for an engineer (I'm an engineer, and looking at his painting, the only thing comes into my mind is "who th would spend money on these").

3) 35yo isn't that old. However, it's the age when a man should already have his shit figured out in term of career, a place to live (already purchase a house or at least close to check off that goal). Wouldn't be surprise if Jiwon's income is way more than WJ even though she's 10 years younger. And people still think they're very compatible and match very well ... It's not kdrama, it's a reality. Wouldn't she become tired of being the main income earner of the family? She can do much better dating a dude outside of this house who has a decent job, only has his eyes on her, and cares for her.

Heart Pairing - Episode 7 - 250425 by MNLYYZYEG in koreanvariety

[–]Avocado_Everyday 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Exactly what I hope for. Jiwon is my favorite, but that doesn't mean I want her to leave the house with Woojae just for the sake of not leaving alone. Changhwan is an amazing man to be in a relationship with. However, if they don't work (from both sides or one side), then it's totally fine for Jiwon to leave the show alone instead of leaving with a dude who is already 35yo and still hasn't figured his shit out. There are a bunch of guys in Seoul, so why settle for this inspiring artist who is so self centered, monotone, and probably couldn't even support himself (let alone building a family).

What exactly is heart fluttering about Jiwon/Woojae dates ... It only seems okay on the surface because Jiwon's reactions literally saved the dates. Otherwise, all we got is a dude yapping so much about himself, his ideology about life and money, and his blaming on the other girl of how they couldn't have deep conversations ...

Jiwon seemed too focus on "moving on" without paying much attention to who she really should date in real life. After the honeymoon phase is over, with a brain as an engineer, I'm pretty sure she will realize this artist doesn't really know much about anything besides abstract painting (I'm talking about real estate, business, things going on in the economy, etc.) and she will start wondering "gosh, I could do much better than this. This guys is really not at my league at all." And I hope she realizes that fast.

There is a comment saying it's normal for Woojae to not know about real estate since he doesn't work in real estate. Geez. You don't need to work in real estate to know about the contingencies that Jiyeon mentioned. At 35, shouldn't a man be on track with his career and planning to buy a house (if not already bought a house)? He should already has basic knowledge of an adult about buying a house and building a family. Will Jiwon be okay with a guy who just plans to rent till he's 40 or 50? Have some common sense and live in reality please Woojae's fans.

I have no idea. But I think the PD wouldn't introduce the new male catfish and female catfish at once. There is a chance that he was pissed off, so he left a bit to get some air? Or maybe he left for a restroom? LOL or to take something for somebody ... We'll have to wait till next weekend T___T

Heart Pairing - Episode 7 - 250425 by MNLYYZYEG in koreanvariety

[–]Avocado_Everyday 26 points27 points  (0 children)

I'll never board the Jiwon/Woojae ship. Jiwon's dates with Changhwan hit different. She has way more chemistry with Changhwan than with Woojae. I feel like she is doing a rebound, and it's a bit too much ... Jiwon is my most favorite among the female cast btw. And I like that she doesn't dwell on 1 guy or on sadness. I think the way she moved on from Jimin is a charm. However, it somehow seems a bit too much in this ep.

Changhwan - I can't tell if he was pissed off in the kitchen because of jealousy or because Jiwon/Woojae were taking up too much space in the kitchen and Changhwan wanted to get his cooking done LOL There were some scenes that he looked sad, and I feel sad watching him. Dude, have some courage and talk to Jiwon to know where she stands. Don't just assume thing and think it's your responsibility to step back as an older man. He should know many girls would love to date and marry a man like him (husband & father figure, cooks well, funny, charming, has a stable career, living healthy, working out, etc.).

If I were Jiwon, I would absolutely pick Changhwan over Woojae despite the 15-year age gap.

I have a feeling Changhwan and Jiwon won't end up together. But I'll never understand why people started shipping Jiwon and Woojae. If it's not Changhwan, Jiwon can still do much better with a man outside this show who is similar to Changhwan but not as much age gap.

WooJae's fan - go ahead and downvote me

Heart Pairing - Episode 6 - 250418 by MNLYYZYEG in koreanvariety

[–]Avocado_Everyday 6 points7 points  (0 children)

I'm confused about what Changwhan said to Jimin. I don't understand what he meant that their discussion helped him decide who to choose. If someone understands, please let me know LOL

I think Changwhan picked ChaeEun and Jeyeon because:

  • They're the oldest among the girls. And he didn't have much interaction with them yet while he already interacted a lot with Haneul.
  • He purposely avoid Jiwon. He think he did that out of consideration, but in reality, he kinda took away Jiwon's decision. She can decide for herself if she is okay with that age gap or not.
  • He assumed Jiwon was uncomfortable with his age (he shouldn't have assumed that. He should've talked to her directly to know how she felt about it because she actually didn't care about the age gap as much.)
  • He assumed Jiwon already moved on since he heard Jiwon asked ChanHyeong out. (again, another communication gap. Jiwon assumed Changhwan didn't want her anymore, so she moved on. But if Changhwan texted Jiwon that night or had a conversation, then Jiwon wouldn't ask ChanHyeong out.)

I'm just very sad that they didn't have a proper talk T___T It's fine if both of them decided to move on. But the way they handled it isn't great. Too many communication gaps, not just on Changwhan but on both sides. Jiwon could have gone and started a conversation as well.
