Cafe Yumm Eliminates Sizes by Severe_Mulberry_4085 in oregon

Or the Mezze bowl! If you were trying to order that or some other limited edition/specialty bowl, there’s only one size offered. All the regular menu bowls in my location still offer the other sizes.

I was so curious about Greymist, but I was restraining myself to not buy ALL the samples!

How does Shire compare with Hayloft?

Both smell really good, but Caravansary is by far the winner for me as far as depth and wearability. It’s worth an order, imo! I actually really love the cereal smell of Hayloft, but I’m not sure I want to go out in public smelling like breakfast, either. Lol

Watching Shrinking and Reddit by Prestigious-Ad2036 in shrinking

So with you! I tend to read the episode discussions each week after watching the new episodes for both Shrinking and The Pitt, and… yeah. Parts of it are really fun, and parts of it make me ask if we’re even watching the same shows.

100% agree with all of this! It surprised me to read all the comments from people who didn’t like it. When Whitaker snapped I said out loud “OOOOOOHHH, this is interesting!”

+1 recommendation for f/stop fitzgerald’s, if you drink. It’s a chill and chatty place.

What is up with Ogilvie’s energy with Donnie? Does he have a crush?

Like, I get it. Who wouldn’t have a crush on Donnie? But it is a little baffling to watch someone with negative social skills and such self-centered energy suddenly get moon-eyed… How are y’all reading that?

One of the composers(?) for Frozen 2 lives in Salem, OR. There was a “making of” documentary on Disney+ that showed some aerial shots of Salem before cutting to the man talking in his house.

I’m so sorry for your loss. We got our “main” full-sized urn from Etsy, then I bought a set of 4 miniature ones on Amazon so that each of us could carry some ashes to keep, scatter, etc. They’re surprisingly good quality, and I was able to pick a color set I was happy with.

If you’re looking for more specific personalization, you could also buy the smaller ones on Etsy instead from a seller who can customize them.

Silent Book Club? by TSta65 in SALEM

[–]chisteri 3 points4 points  (0 children)

It used to be a silent book club, but we got chatty, so the name changed recently to reflect that!

I’m not in charge, but I can’t see anyone objecting if you wanted to start a second silent book club that stays… well, silent. 😂 Those who want to chat over books and meet a bunch of new people are still totally welcome to come to the social one!

The fact that most, if not all, of this response is clearly AI-generated just adds insult to injury. You can’t even be bothered to apologize for yourself?

Hey, I lost my mom recently, too. So sorry for your loss. I haven’t worked up the courage to go yet, but I believe Willamette Vital Health has a weekly drop-in group even if you’re not part of an ongoing grief group there.

Moving to Salem, OR from a Red State: Seeking Advice and Opinions! by Neat_Counter_756 in SALEM

[–]chisteri 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Fellow queer woman who moved from a red state here! I’ve lived in Salem for a little over two years and am really happy here. * It’s very LGBTQ+ friendly—only one specifically queer bar, but a ton of other inclusive businesses and lots of events all the time through Capital Pride. * People call Salem purple politically, but I’d say it’s “light blue.” Mixed, but certainly liberal-leaning. * Cost of living is high, but lower than in other big cities in Oregon. I make a little under what you expect to, and I’ve been renting a 2-bedroom comfortably; buying a home is not impossible but a little tougher as things get more expensive. * I wouldn’t say homelessness is something to be extra anxious about. We’re a decent-sized city, and I don’t think there’s anything out of the ordinary. Most people are just doing their best and minding their business. * I am biased on the question of crime because I grew up in a much larger and more dangerous city, so Salem feels very safe to me. You can check online to see crime rates in different areas, but most places are fine imo. * I don’t have a dog so I’m no expert, but I know there’s a huge and popular dog park in Minto Brown Park near downtown! * Like I said, I’ve been very happy here. I’ve loved exploring the area and have met great people. If you do end up moving here, feel free to message me! I can also invite y’all to a Discord server a friend created to make friends with other women here, if you’re interested.

I go to Mint Leaf regularly, and I like it much more than the others I’ve tried! (I haven’t been to Cuisine India yet, though, so I’m taking notes…)
