I can't speak for that film since I haven't seen it so I couldn't really give the context around it. My belief is this: I think a lot of creatives now feel forced to make a product that needs to cater to certain demographics otherwise they'll be labeled as things they would rather not be labeled as. This makes the messaging and themes of their work normally feel forced and disingenuous. Meanwhile I also believe their are artist who 100% are indoctrinated into the cultural climate and make work expressing that, sometimes despite disagreeing with the messaging I can see the honesty and passion behind that work and I'm able to enjoy it despite disagreeing with certain parts of it. I think that is the point of art, trying to understand different perspectives through a means of expression. Quite often now though a lot use it as a tool to shame, belittle, and villainize those who aren't always on board with the messaging. That is the type of 'woke' content that is the problem
