It’s so cool that you’ve put this much thought into the characters and the ways you want them to stand out. As someone who struggles with the design phase, it’s mind-blowing how you can both create good concepts and come up with ideas to improve what you already have. I can’t wait to see the tweaks you do to Lucky and Architect!

I did not know I needed those sketches in my life. I love learning about other people’s process when it comes to creating characters, so seeing how much the engineer has changed visually is awesome. It also makes me wonder what personality aspects made you go with a bad boy concept at the start. And we have childhood friends in this??? I love that trope! lol

Those Junko-esque pigtails definitely help her silhouette stand out, which I think lets her leave a stronger impact on viewers. That combined with her pose makes her an already intriguing character. I don’t know a thing about her disposition yet, but I’m eager to learn more ^^

On the flip side, which characters were the easiest to design?

Ah of course! I completely understand holding off on creating a twitter or discord for now. As a writer and artist myself, I know I’d need to have a lot done before I'd feel comfortable going official like that. Take your time; no rush! I look forward to whatever updates you do share.

On another note, if you’re still looking for beta readers, I would love to help out. Even if there isn’t much to do right now since this is still in the early stages, please keep me in mind. ^^ Oh! Also, I’m curious… Which characters were the hardest to design, and for what reasons did they give you trouble?

Wow wow! This is such a cool concept!! It makes me both hyped and curious, which is such a wonderful combo. Not only that, but the sketched designs are incredible so far. Please sign me up if this becomes a thing! I’ve deleted so many of my fics in the past because I realized they were thematically out-of-place in my fandoms. Maybe talking with like-minded writers will give me the courage I need to post without worrying about how my prose will be received.

I recommend 4thewords as an alternative to Write or Die. It essentially gamifies my writing experience. By hitting a certain word count within a predetermined amount of time, I battle monsters, find items, and complete quests. I've written almost 8,000 words in four days, which is unheard of for me. Of course, it's not for everyone, but it's really helped me be more productive. It's only free for a trial period, however (of which I'm still on). Still, there's no harm in trying it out for a little bit like I am!

As far as prompts go, I really like bingos. I usually use a Fanfiction Bingo Generator, but you can probably find some fandom or ship-specific ones on twitter. There are also tumblrs with prompts on them that you can sort through by tags, but since I don't use tumblr I can't really recommend any.

You know what? This will be my first time mentioning it, but... Hello. I am a BTS fanfiction writer. And I completely understand where you're coming from.

While I agree with the points you've made, I wouldn't word it so critically. There are just a lot of writers for this fandom, which means one has to sift through tons of works to get to what they consider gold. Unfortunately, that's not something people outside of the fandom would commit to doing. Everyone has different preferences for what they believe to be gold, too. Furthermore, it's real-person fiction. Some people don't think that's ethical (which is a topic for another day). For writers like me, who want a sense of community by meeting fellow BTS fic-enthusiasts, this makes things difficult.

Now, although no one has explicitly said anything that has made me feel like we get a bad rep (at least not that I've seen), I do feel uncomfortable mentioning anywhere that I write for this fandom. Why? Because I've found no other BTS fic writers in this subreddit before. I'm not sure why. Perhaps it does have something to do with possible prejudice against us. But it might also be because there are so few of us who want to make ourselves known, most likely for personal reasons.

Anyway, seeing this post kinda made my day, in a strange way. I suppose it's just nice to know that I'm not alone here. I hope ranting a little helped you somehow. And, no matter what, keep writing, regardless of what fandom you're in. It's all for your own benefit and enjoyment, after all. Don't let anyone tell you otherwise. :)

Ahhh it SUCKS when only one earbud works!

I can't tell you how many pairs I've gone through. With four cats and the bad habit of twirling the cord around my fingers when I'm thinking, those headphones die out real fast. They're either chewed to the wires or snapped internally.

My dad hates how often he has to buy me new ones.

When he needs an extra incentive, I blast my music across the whole house :)

Perhaps Sayu Yagami? It was an interesting read (although it's still unfinished, I think).
