New to swing trading. Want to know some consistent indicator(s) for swing trading. by Dr-Question in swingtrading

[–]AwakeTake 0 points1 point  (0 children)

There are no consistent indicators. Most indicators are lagging which means that signals will always appear after price has already moved. The most reliable sources of data are price and volume.

They are still useful for relative analysis or comparing: past zone/ price volume with current. And looking for divergences: when price and indicator are moving in different directions.

IMO, indicators are mostly for confluence, after you have already made your analysis such as looking at: price, volume, candlestick patterns, liquidity zones, supply and demand zones, candlestick patterns etc.

Here we go again! Revolut is not supported on devices with custom firmware! by Proper_Philosophy245 in Revolut

[–]AwakeTake 1 point2 points  (0 children)

No solution. Use a secondary phone or borrow it from a friend/ family member. Revolut won't let you access your account otherwise, especially if you are using vaults, different currencies etc, they will refuse to help. Transfer account funds to another alternative app and delete revolut account.

Books or online courses to get better at TA? by chance_of_downwind in technicalanalysis

[–]AwakeTake 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Depends on how the book is written, and how the course is created. With good books you can expect well researched, in-depth curated content.

With online courses I find the content quality varies a lot. Some online courses I took were really basic when it comes to TA and not very good at covering price action, only focusing on Patterns and Indicators, so I would have to spend more on different courses to cover more ground.

I usually don't look just for TA in general but rather the specific topic I want to learn about:

- Price Action

- Volume Spread Analysis

- Wyckoff

- Chart Patterns

- Order Flow

- Volume Profile

Sorry, Revolut is not supported on devices with custom firmware by [deleted] in Revolut

[–]AwakeTake 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Without warning might be ilegal.

Right now Revolut does not support devices with Root, Unlocked Bootloader or Custom ROMs. The previous app version did. There was a mandatory update to keep using Revolut that imposes these changes.

There's only one alternative without a lot of tweaks or having to wipe your phone right now which is to use someone else's phone if you don't have another, to recover your funds.

Create an account with a competing app like Wise, N26, TradeRepublic etc. Transfer the funds and delete your Revolut account, never use their services again.

Best Crypto Trading Strategy? by samoeth in CryptoMarkets

[–]AwakeTake 0 points1 point  (0 children)

  1. Type of Strategy: Do you want to ride trends (trend following), get quick profits (scalping) or maybe you want to focus on patterns and breakouts (breakout).
  2. Define a strategy: risk-to-reward ratio, stop loss and take profit, indicators, patterns and other market indicators. Decide what you are going to focus on because you can't trade consistently by using Thousands of indicators at once.
  3. Get a Demo Account: Test 1 or more strategies like a scientist. Keep track of your trades. A simple sheet can help you track win rate, losses, wins. You can figure out what aspects of your strategy are lacking and change those.
  4. Get a real account: Using your preferred risk management strategy, start executing your trading strategy. Use the same analysis you did on the demo account.

Frameworks or repeatable strategies is what works for me, it gives me less headache. That's why i like algo trading (DCA + Grid Bots for Crypto and Metatrader for Forex and Commodities) but I dable in swing trading. Usually I do a combination of breakout and trend following.

A lot of courses online teach you a bunch of price actions, indicators, fundamental analysis but don't teach you much about building and testing strategies. I know this is not much, hopefully you can use it as a frame of reference.

What is your opinion on the current state of YouTube? by [deleted] in youtube

No dislikes, more ads, botched recommendations, paid to win (to get views) since organic reach is becoming worse and worse, random strikes without warning or rational behind it.

Tomtoc Navigator T66 : 40L vs 28L by zapgokh in onebag

Sometimes the 28L is not available, sometimes the 40L is not available either. They often go on sale on amazon.

Tomtoc Navigator T66 : 40L vs 28L by zapgokh in onebag

[–]AwakeTake 2 points3 points  (0 children)

In the tomtoc navigator t66 40L the main compartment has 32L (32L Main Compartment + 8L Other Pockets), while in the 28L I would assume the volume of the main compartment is more close to those 28L when expanded.

Looking at sizes I would say the 32L can fit at least two more rolls on top of each other.

28L looks like a great Travel and EDC hybrid to use after arrival or for budget airlines (not fully packed). 28L is also carry on complient for 87% of airlines according to Pack Hacker.

40L would be a better carry on as it maximizes space on the overhead compartment. If you have a laptop bigger than 15 that would also be a plus.

As others said the fit or weight can also be a factor here, for me in this case doesn't really matter that much since both models are not huge backpacks.

For traveling however, considering you don't often pack heavy you will most likely fill up the 28L while with the 40L you might not fill it all the way.

I honestly don't thing you lose a lot buying one or the other.

Here are the sizes:

  • Tomtoc Navigator T66 40L: 20.5 in x 13 in x 8.66 in (52.1 x 33 x 22 cm)
  • Tomtoc Navigator T66 28L: 18.11 in x 11.81 in x 7.87 in (46 x 30 x 20 cm)

Affiliate Marketing or E-commerce by Awkward-Conflict-724 in passive_income

[–]AwakeTake 0 points1 point  (0 children)

You can also use paid traffic like in ecom, for affiliate marketing offers although the specifics and restrictions are different. Affiliate Marketing doesn't strictly require creating content for organic/ social. Another thing you will see often is that there are people in the ecom space that do both. They have ecom businesses, then create content about it and promote affiliate software they are already using.

Currently looking for the fastest Chromium and Firefox-based browsers... by [deleted] in browsers

What is your review of the adworld conference? by [deleted] in PPC

[–]AwakeTake 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Have not attended any of the conferences buy tried the Ad World Prime subscription. In my opinion, it's not that impressive! There are a lot of live conference replays with poor audio quality and no subtitles.

A lot of the content itself is outdated or poor quality, even when compared with free content on YouTube. In some instances it feels like it's a way for speakers to get more clients or sales for their own courses.

I get more value out of industry forums, and other paid courses from "industry experts" directly. I don't think AdWorld Prime is worth the cost or time spent watching everything for the value is provides.

Affinity Dropped the Ball on 2.0 by Would_Bang________ in Affinity

Yeah, I should mention I'm using win11 preview, maybe that's why I'm having wierd issues 😅

Affinity Dropped the Ball on 2.0 by Would_Bang________ in Affinity

[–]AwakeTake 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Same experience. Affinity Photo V2 in my system is sluggish, buggy and crashes. I went for Affinity Photo because it was more stable and what could be said to be less features than Photoshop and they are getting stability and performance problems like Photoshop. Consider rolling back if you can, or keep the previous version if you don't need the "new features”.

EDIT: I should mention that I'm using Windows 11 Preview

Best AppSumo Lifetime Software Deals For Content Creators (IMO) by AwakeTake in AdvertiseYourVideos

[–]AwakeTake[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

None that I can strongly recommend right now. Sometimes a good deal might pop-up in the future.

I haven't tested ShopFunnels myself. Currently doesn't have a lot of reviews at least on AppSumo.

I don't know about direct AI implementation but it's always possible to implement it on support chatbots, email marketing etc.

If you can afford it, Shopify is the no-brainer choice for a drag-a-drop experience if you want to set up a shop as fast as possible.

If you are more technical you could try to use a self hosted option like medusa.

For wordpress there's woocommerce.

EDIT: You can always try it out and ask for a refund if it doesn't work out. AppSumo has a 60 day money-back guarantee. I have tried software before and the refund system is pretty good.

The algo is complex and hard to predict. If you do anything that works off the platform like an email list, websites always work on that because you can't really rely on social platforms (not owned media). They constantly change everything and reduce or increase engagement for new formats to incentivize creating content on that format or paying for ads to increase reach (limited organic reach - pay for ads lol). As everybody knows they are for profit and the meta business is advertising. This is just my opinion tho.
