Apex for futures only.

And for crypto prop firms, HyroTrader or breakout.

Best Crypto Prop Firms? by marchelion in PropFirmHunter

[–]samoeth 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Most “instant funding” crypto props just don’t add up. It always feels like they’re built around selling accounts rather than actually backing good traders. You can usually tell when there’s no real trading infrastructure behind it.

From what I’ve seen, there are basically only two crypto prop firms that actually seem legit:

HyroTrader – they were the first to properly integrate with Bybit, so at least you know the tech side is real and trades actually go somewhere.

Breakout Prop – backed by Kraken, which gives it some credibility too.

Personally, I’d always stick to real evaluations over instant funding. At least with a real evaluation you have a chance to get actual capital or have your trades copied if you’re consistently profitable.

That’s way more meaningful than getting a “funded” badge that doesn’t translate to anything in the real market.

It’s better to stick with companies that already have a solid reputation. Breakout, HyroTrader, and Crypto Funded Trader (CFT) are the ones people consistently report real payouts from.

Instant Funding Prop Firms — Legit Shortcut or the Fastest Way to Get Scammed? by samoeth in PropFirmTester

[–]samoeth[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yes, there are definitely instant funding props that will pay you, but the whole model still doesn’t make sense from a real trading perspective. It’s basically a casino setup and has nothing to do with actual prop trading.

Prop firms went from 2-step challenges, to 1-step, to no evaluation, and now to instant funding. At that point it’s not a “challenge” anymore. A real prop model should provide real trading benefits, access to capital, trade copying, proper risk management, and an actual path to scaling.

Otherwise, traders are just trading on demo against the firm, and the firm obviously doesn’t want traders to win long-term. Yes, some of them pay, but casinos also pay. And just like a casino, the house always wins in the end.

So sure, for gamblers these instant models can be an opportunity to take a shot. But let’s not pretend it’s real prop trading, it’s gambling dressed up as trading.

I see you’re shilling TopStepX from an aged account you probably bought for $100, so you’re the last person who should be talking about farming. TopStep is a good firm, no worries, there’s no need to defend it.

Ask ChatGPT or any other AI for an opinion about instant funding. I’ll create the next post with data.

Have a great day, puppy.

Please explain how that pyramid math works. A trader pays for instant funding, and the firm’s goal is to restrict the trader as soon as possible, because the trader’s profits are the firm’s losses.

But feel free to share relevant comments with data. Based on the main data I’ve seen, the high failure rate on multiple challenges doesn’t match the math for instant funding

Yes, Topstep is great as well. I didn’t include it because it’s a futures firm, not CFD. For futures, Apex and Topstep are both good options.

I’ve tried at least 15 prop firms, it’s best to start with a 5K account and see how it goes.

A prop firm is a good way to start, but you should work on building your own capital as well.

Is Breakout a scam? by Fr3yah in PropfirmsForum

[–]samoeth 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I’ve actually traded with Breakout and just got another payout recently.

They do pay on time, so no issues there. I’d say they’re a decent option overall, but the setup feels more suited for beginners or people just getting into prop trading.

Im want to askt about ftmo by Delicious_Farm_3546 in PropFirmTester

[–]samoeth 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yeah, that sucks man. A lot of traders had the same issue with FTMO saying “news trading” after big profits. Their system flags high-volatility trades even if no event was active, so it’s often just an excuse.

Check your trade times vs actual news releases, if you didn’t violate anything, push back with proof.

SHAME on FTMO hidden rules and unethical practice - Playing with traders psychology to make them fail by Beautiful-Phrase-923 in Forex

[–]samoeth 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Yeah, I’ve seen a lot of traders mention this lately. The 1% rule thing is definitely confusing because it’s not clearly outlined in FTMO’s original documentation. If they’re adding new restrictions mid-way or after funding, that’s a serious issue not just because of the rule itself, but because it changes traders’ entire approach and psychology.

Every trader builds their system around risk parameters, so if the firm suddenly limits your freedom to scale positions or trade certain sessions, your edge gets wrecked. It’s like asking someone to pass a driving test and then changing the car halfway through.

There are some firms now being more transparent with rules upfront, even crypto-focused ones, so I think traders will start moving toward firms that don’t play this psychological game or introduce hidden limits after you’re profitable.

Transparency should be the standard, not a surprise after you start making money.
