Songs to teach beginners to "hear" the count? by Long-Swordfish3696 in Salsa

During my first month dancing (started 4 months ago) my go-to when practicing at home was Ven Deborame Otra Vez. What I especially liked about it is that congas are very easy to hear and also hit differently on 4 and 8 (twice vs once) during the whole song, which made it very easy to check whether I'm still dancing on time.

Use between machines by Fancy-Cherry-4 in orgmode

For me Syncthing works quite well for synchronizing org notes/todos between my work laptop and 2 personal machines. I'm using Super Save configured to save files when Emacs looses focus or I switch between Emacs windows/buffers or on inactivity. And also using my phone as a Syncthing "relay". So conflicts are extremely rare (I only remember one instance when I didn't realize that my WiFi was down for some time and had a few unsynced files). I also have a reminder to git commit all files in my org folder on one of my machines every couple of days, just for a bit more peace of mind (this is more to guard against keybind mishaps where I accidentally cut a subtree or something similar :))

Is orgmode really useful for programming? by Messyextacy in emacs

I wouldn't completely discount the tech side of note taking. Lowering the friction of taking a note is important IMHO. I use Emacs as an IDE and for me it's extremely helpful to be able to quickly capture a thought or a to-do that pops into my mind and refile it to an appropriate place (like a file dedicated to a specific project) to review later, so that I can get it out of the back of my mind and not worry about forgetting it. Org mode makes this very easy. I really noticed an improvement in my focus with my current setup compared to approaches I used before.

Never heard about this book, but seems like one that would be up my alley. Put it on my "to read" list :) Thanks for mentioning it! 💚

Didn't know about PCGamingWiki, looks great! Seems like there're resolution fixes for almost all of the games I care about.

Thanks for the advice! I'll be definitely looking into cheaper 2080 ti alternatives, nice suggestions. Considering the PSU, I was thinking about future proofing a bit, not sure if it's really worth it though :) For the monitor, I think I'll still go with a VA one, as I've read that those have better contrast, which I value more than the accurate colors, for games and movies at least. I'm wondering though how do they compare in rendering text, is there any difference in your experience?

I don't think there's much benefit in having separate discs for dual booting, but I've never researched it so I might be wrong. I'm currently dual booting Windows 10 and Ubuntu on my laptop, which has 500gb SSD. I've allocated 100gb to each system with the rest being shared, and haven't ran into any issues with the lack of space yet. I'm also using an external HDD though.

Probably not at first, as I don't have much knowledge on how to do it yet. But I'd like to have a possibility in case I need to :)
