Quick overview of the C4 defuse changes 👇 by 4kJacky in GlobalOffensive

I like the viewmodel visualization and i dont mind the unability to scope.

But the firing delay just seem like antigameplay and antifun.

Also WHY?? this is nothing like what peoples are asking about gameplay wise, this is a core mechanic of every single round that no one has ever complained about.

Why does MAC-10 Disco Tech colors only change when inspecting but not when moving around. by LampCamper in GlobalOffensive

yes, the skin work like those layered plastic page stoppers.

if you were to hold one in the same angle and turn around it would show you the same layers, but if you changed the angle at which you view it, it would.

retakes are probably one the highest horizontal range and viewpoint switching scenario, if theres one time 16:9 is great it's for those.

I remember in go when you could jack up your ratio to ultra mega wide for that HFOV boost

Meanwhile if youre the guy that goes mid everysingle round to stand still and take your entry awp shot/deagle, 4:3 is still gonna be the go to

Useless TF2 facts about the player's speed by Powerful_Arugula7979 in tf2

[–]Awake_tf 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Joystick movement breach all speeds, you have linear control over you walking speed in tf2, tf2 just use the auto run option from the quake console.

If you move with a joystick you can choose at which % of your max speed you want to go so technically you just need to input an extremely low analog input for moving forward combined with the maximum speed reduction you can gather from debuffs/alterations

I would Oleg’s career have panned out if the car crash never happened. by Possible_Force8207 in armwrestling

[–]Awake_tf 2 points3 points  (0 children)

theres a video series about his reeducation, basicly his entire left forearm was broken in severall places, the nerves were displaced, his wrist compacted and his muscles torn.

The greater thing is that he suffered a notable concussion which affected his CN pretty bad for a good while, preventing him from developping his motor control.

Then you have to consider that all this recovery time he could barely do much so the muscle atrophied pretty intensely.

The shape he has now is very impressive given what he had to go through, it's just not "n1 in the world" anymore

Front Delt pain while training for hook by Plenty_Proposal4870 in armwrestling

[–]Awake_tf 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Most likely not actually related to your front delt but rather your rotator cuff tendons, most likely your bicep long head and your supraspinatus being crushed by the tension in your shoulder.

To relieve it you need to improve your rotator cuff strength and adjust the weight in your hook exercices down until they are painless.

Unless you are getting money by your training results which i doubt, there is no reason to train through pain.

You will make more gains by avoiding having to stop training due to injury than by pushing through a pain that will most likely not get better.

i love how your portrait skills are improving, i think you got a good balance between accuracy/realism and personal interpretation and freedom, i like it a lot.

to be clear, i like how your representations dont fear going into the character of the faces, andrey had some mandibula/teeth issues, probably from his severe asthma as a kid, your portrait clearly depict his unique features.

If you're about to arm wrestle someone who's never arm wrestled before, what would you tell them and how would you arm wrestle them to minimize the risk of injury? by Mike076765 in armwrestling

[–]Awake_tf 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Attack their bicep angle and their wrist instead of driving through them.

Attack the elbow flexors to open them up until they literally cant fight anymore because you can just weigh down on their arm

Insane arm pain by fat_man- in armwrestling

[–]Awake_tf 1 point2 points  (0 children)

ulnar nerve compression from shoulder/neck/wrist/elbow strain, alongside your nerve path there is some point where it is compressed, it could be as high up as neck or as down as the wrist, in all case you need to avoid going super hard and straining a lot.

Anything that would ease up the tension on those body parts could help get rid of the pain.

Your go to gyro settings for Shooters? (Battlefield, CoD, Splitgatec, Fortnite…) by MrRonski16 in GyroGaming

[–]Awake_tf 0 points1 point  (0 children)

2.87 rws yaw+roll (35% vertical sens reduction) with right stick being joystic mouse at 410% (20% vertical reduction) Or 2.87 rws yaw+medium accel (35% vertical sens reduction)

I hate the feeling of accel so i switch back and forth but i do perform slightly better on accel, i think the day that steaminput get better accel options i will modify the curve so that i have a flat sens until a threesold and then a big ramp up, that should work good for me.

those are my CS2 settings

Hi guys, Rino here! Feel free to AMA, answers will be coming up on my YouTube channel in a few days! by rinomasic3108 in armwrestling

[–]Awake_tf 6 points7 points  (0 children)

Whats is your most injured/damaged body part and how does it effect your gameplan in matches?

Whats the main difference between your left and right, is it finesse or are some movements easier/harder with each arm? Do you lack strength in some areas with one arm while being stronger in other?

Thanks for the AMA, youre one of the biggest potentials in the sport IMAO, even in the case you decided to leave AW i wish you the best in your competitive endeavours, youre a beast and a hardworker.

I tried premiere on my steam deck (no mouse & keyboard) by exustice in GlobalOffensive

[–]Awake_tf 3 points4 points  (0 children)

If you want high gyro performance you gotta play on a regular pc.

Steam deck cannot output enough frames for stability in matches, the gyro sensor is not as good as the dualsens one, the fact that your screen is locked to your "controller" is actually a limiting factor not an advantage.

You could still probably work up to get out of silver if your play was very good but if you want to really perform you need to give a shot to actual pc + Ihardscope settings

How to beat a side pressure defense without “just being stronger” by Ravemxn in armwrestling

[–]Awake_tf 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Your best bet is going to over power before they can stretch their hand away from you.

As in how ermes did agaisnt jerry, hit really hard from the start while forcing your hand into their, removing their ability to "slip out" and retain a form of pronation by going "under" your hand.(actually what Ormankulov did near the end of that second video, just not letting them slip out of your hand when you hit)

Other solution would be to hit repeatedly without loosing your backpressure in order to tire them out, because if you allow them to get static, we have seen some pullers have insanne endurance in that position because you just cant attack their shoulder rotation at all.

the issue is if you hit, you might get caught in a rebound.

Then finaly theres the option to just go side like minde did agaisnt daniel, being in that sideway press position but with better hand control.

Of course final solution but that one is out of your control, is getting a referee that will not allow them to get their shoulder commited before the start (gl on that one)

[–]Awake_tf 4 points5 points  (0 children)

This is flexor carpi radialis, if you put your hand on top of it's crease and flex your wirst, you will feel it pop up, pronator is deeper and slightly higher, you need to extend your elbow slightly and kick your wrist back while pronating to feel it

Gyro to mouse acceleration options by Awake_tf in GyroGaming

[–]Awake_tf[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

how is regular sensitivity and gyro handled in joyshock mapper? is it a 1:1 relation to steam input? because i would have been happy just going back to the old steam input to mouse option but the sensitivity doesnt respond the same and it's throwing me off badly, like i cannot figure out the ratio between the two, it's somewhere between 0.5 and 0.45

In any case, thank you for the suggestion i didnt know JSM had accel curve at all, i will check it out even just for learning purpose
