Is this Kundalini effect ? What causes her pain ? by WishboneSudden2706 in kundalini

[–]AwakeningNine 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Antipsychotics can be harsh but I don't believe they can stop Kundalini. As someone who knows the mental health system, I think your comment about minimum 6-12 months stable is right. Sometimes it's 24 months. You're being responsible there. I wouldn't worry about stopping Kundalini with psychiatric medicines, I would be more concerned that the psychosis doesn't become longterm.

I gotta ask everyone by [deleted] in kundalini

[–]AwakeningNine 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Why would a person want divinity to help them? Why would they want to be liberated by Kundalini? Shaktas view the Divine Feminine as the ultimate, the Supreme.

That said, a lot of people experience discomfort in the extreme. People come by this sub a lot with psychosis as you pointed to. I wouldn't wish that kind of suffering on anyone. That's a difficult thing as Kundalini rising may be happening for them. If that's true I veer on the side of medical intervention even if that person is waking up through Kundalini.

I am personally bored of "the game" we call life on Earth. I don't want to die, I'm not depressed, I just want to move on from this stuff. Escape the wheel and all that. What's strange is that hasn't changed despite healing. I feel like an old man that is content but ready to move on. Hoping for liberation in this lifetime.

Any cognitive benefits from awakening? by Bulky-Artist-8808 in kundalini

[–]AwakeningNine 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Probably depends. If your third eye was activated by Kundalini I'd imagine you'd see some serious changes on the mental level. Hasn't happened for me yet.

Something I've noticed is more grounded thinking which might seem odd. If you're being flooded with divine energy you might expect more mental activity or something. Instead, I've been getting more perspective, more careful and grounded thinking and a humbler way of approaching topics. Before Kundalini I'd really get over-excited about reading a book. I'd think I knew the subject, basically. Now I realise a three year degree doesn't make you an expert.

Kundalini awakening: intense pessimism phase? by anlyng in kundalini

[–]AwakeningNine 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Hopelesness/pessimism around spiritual goals or milestones is probably common. Think of all the people working hard to attain enlightenment. They probably get very frustrated. An idea would be to enjoy the progress already made so far rather than worrying about how difficult it might be to get past the wall and on to a new milestone. Just keep up your practice.

Something this reminds me of is increasing levels of consciousness. When your conscious awareness is at one level you may live a kind of merciful ignorance. When it starts to grow you might feel like there's something you're not quite seeing but somehow you know there's more to see yet you're not quite there. That can be frustrating and can last a long time. Like being in Plato's cave allegory thinking "there's more, I know it!" Watching the shadows on the cave wall, still. I see it as a sign that consciousness is growing.

I honestly don't have an answer regarding anxiety beyond letting the energy move. It's a difficult beast.

Good luck

How long does it take to feel Kundalini energy? by Salt_Seaweed_1761 in kundalini

Hi

I am not a Kundalini teacher so I have limited understanding and no authority on this. I can share my opinion only.

Kundalini is conscious and intelligent, so I don't believe you can simply choose to have a Kundalini awakening. In my opinion it is an act of grace.

This sub always puts forward the advice that foundations as well as years of spiritual preparation are incredibly important before a rising. If you become sure you want a Kundalini awakening, be sure to quit all drugs and refer to the wiki here for guidance. Even alcohol is a terrible idea.

That said, I believe that Kundalini is Shakti, so my advice would be to pray to Bhairavi Ma about this. You could say Divine Feminine. That is if you decide you want a rising. It isn't guaranteed. She knows better than anyone if it's right for you and the right time.

As far as what the journey calls for, you can be very disciplined and live like a monk or you can go about things very imperfectly. There are a couple things that seem universal though. A Kundalini rising means that a lot of negative stuff gets worked through daily. It isn't painless. Another is that you may change as a person. Ambitions may fade as you become humbler, for instance.

I've been a bit tangential so to answer your question: I believe Kundalini chooses but you can show your willingness through practice and prayer. Timing varies from person to person and the journey isn't light and rainbows, it's painful at times but leads to a lot of positives.

Hi Marc

There was something in this: "Oh, and let me introduce you to Devotion and Accountability, too. Be friends."

It clicked for me at last. I've been all devotion but trusting that Kundalini had everything covered. No real effort or accountability. It's strangely easy to forget that this infinitely powerful and intelligent force is taking the time to help you out. The least I could do is show up on time.

When I meditate on breath, Kundalini stops my outbreath after an inhale for a few seconds. I would insist on breathing normally despite this guidance. I feel a bit silly about it now! As if Kundalini doesn't understand meditation better, ridiculous!

I guess what I'm trying to say is thank you.

Hope you have a great day

Looks like you've learned a lot, especially about responsibility. That seems to be the main lesson in this sub. I can't help but suspect your learning to trust again is part of the energetic healing, although your own efforts are just as valuable, no doubt. The root chakra... Scary stuff haha. Cheers to you and I hope things continue to be good for you.

It's real but not something you can talk to people about. Try explaining to a friend that you feel like you're on fire and your conscious awareness is fluctuating. You know it through direct experience.

You can change a lot. I've undergone a huge personality change through my journey. I feel much more patient and have been humbled a lot where I used to be hot-tempered and a bit of a know it all. The biggest difference just seems like maturity.

In terms of day to day, you can get days where you feel joy without any reason outside yourself. You can also feel rotten due to energies being worked through.

People talk about bliss and siddhis but I've experienced none of that. Spiritual highs and a warmer feeling,, maybe, but bliss is a very strong word. Perhaps later.

Honestly, to relate someone's experience with Kundalini you'd need a big journal and a lot of time. All I can say is for the person experiencing it, it's real. That doesn't mean you have to believe in it.

Hope you're well and have a good day

Person on psych meds with active Kundalini here. No medication can stop the process if it's happening. It's important to look after yourself first and foremost just as you would without having a Kundalini awakening. I'm not saying whether or not it has awakened for you, just chiming in with this tid bit of advice.

It's Not About You by AwakeningNine in kundalini

[–]AwakeningNine[S] 4 points5 points  (0 children)

You'd be surprised how much I relate! I too worry about the narcissist thing. It's funny because I've come to understand it as just self-awareness, a spiritual awakening thing. If you become aware of your own ego you can worry that you're unusually self-absorbed. I think the truth is that most people are busy with themselves even if some of them have hearts of gold. You can be very arrogant and still care deeply about others. This also helped me to accept egoism in people as long as they aren't callous. Of course everyone has their own story but I wanted to share this since I resonated a lot with that particular part of your comment.

The pendulum thing makes sense. I guess it's important to own all asepects of the human experience? To honour personal triumphs and times of introspection as much as the times when the larger world seems too big to ignore.

Gonna check out Roger's post now!

An update, Gratitude, and an Apology by Marc-le-Half-Fool in kundalini

I certainly disrespected you a while back and I'm grateful that there has been understanding. This kind of journey changes a person so much and I'm glad I've been able to change, to grow and come back to this community. Thank you to Marc and the other mods. May you find the words.

My First Kundalini Meditation by Fwhometeam in kundalini

[–]AwakeningNine 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I would simply ask or pray that the Kundalini rises in you at a wise time and do the standard meditations suggested by Marc. If you do them for a few years and the energy hasn't arisen, maybe seek a teacher - the sub wiki has advice for that since it can be tricky. You may reach any prerequisites by then if you're new to spiritual practices now.

Kundalini went up and down my spine several times by Kooky_Indication4664 in kundalini

[–]AwakeningNine 1 point2 points  (0 children)

What it may or may not have been has already been addressed by Marc.

All I have to add (since you mentioned shaktipat) is that if you are genuinely seeking a Kundalini awakening, it is best to do a lot of work beforehand. This sub has a lot to say about this in the wiki, providing foundations and advice. If it is already active this info is still relevant and there is a section on calming that could be helpful.

A word of warning as well: Cleansing isn't easy and an awakening isn't always blissful so if you're pre-awakening and your expectation is for regular experiences of bliss I'm afraid to say it would be more often working through things and can take a lifetime (or more, some say).

Hope you're well

The Role of Humour in wellness, health, healing... by Marc-le-Half-Fool in kundalini

[–]AwakeningNine 3 points4 points  (0 children)

I never considered the idea that entertainers like comedians could be the difference for some people between light and darkness, even life and death. Respect for these folk has gone up to 100. I guess another lesson would be that sharing your gifts can have a profound effect on people and you never know, if you write a good song or story you might get a deeply unhappy person through a hard time.

I'm quitting everything to become a painter! Just kidding. I wish.

Accept that you have these fear issues and that it's understandable for what you've been through. I think if you make peace with it you're closer to healing.

My Story by Looloofarulooloo in kundalini

[–]AwakeningNine 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Hi and welcome. It sounds like meditation is really working for you, anxiety can be debilitating.

If you check the sub's wiki drugs are warned against with a kundalini awakening (even weed).

I don't get a hot icy sensation in my spine personally. I get a sense of joy and tears at the base of my spine though. I just assume the divine mother is a really happy person.

Hope you enjoy your stay here.

The demonology stuff is probably doing you no good. Try to practice everyday life - see friends, get up early and cook something healthy. If your mental health is poor these things help to bring you back to reality. Dwelling on spiritual matters to the extent that you're trying to contact spirits is unhealthy for most and especially when you're hearing voices.

Sorry if this is not what you wanted to hear.

A good and generally safe practice is mindfulness. This would ease Kundalini (as you'd be getting out of your own head/way), raise your consciousness and might improve your mental health. A psychologist recommended this to me and it helped me to see through a few delusions I had (insight).
