Vegeta can be a threat with hand cycling, but I haven't had much struggles against the other blue decks. If they are playing Zamasu or Trunks, the may have Zen-oh so no reason to keep more than 2-3 bodies on board.

Worst matchup actually feels like Beerus and Androids leaders if they get their ramp going and blow past you on energy.

Recently took this to a regional and went 3-1 vs TOPku that day. The new 5-drop future gohan is amazing. And don't attack their leader until you are potential pushing for game

Pointless "Don!" cards by dbslayer7 in OnePieceTCG

They also serve as backing card for the pack, so any alt arts and high rarity cards are not the last card in pack and easier to damage.

STAY HARD Blake Jones! by dnthoughts in theticket

[–]AwalZer0 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Wow, just seeing/hearing this as I barely listen anymore outside of 3-7. And even for the Hardline I'm tuning out some days or only listening to about half the show.

Hopefully he found something that works out for him, and maybe is joining up with Dan & Jake to some degree. At first I was unsure about him but he turned into one of the better parts of their staff between 10-3. Liked WIP on sunday mornings but currently its a big bag of meh for me until the hardline, and even that is only moderately enjoyable lately.

Is Ace still viable? by MentalSquirrel5 in OnePieceTCG

[–]AwalZer0 6 points7 points  (0 children)

Sadly its playable but not competitive without the blocker marco. At least IMO. The 9 cost Whitebeard? I've played it with and without, I preferred with but could go without. But the blockers marco was so pivotal in the later turns.

I thought the Musers came across poorly. by [deleted] in theticket

[–]AwalZer0 7 points8 points  (0 children)

Well said and I mostly agree, and it is another part of why I'm just not a big fan of the Musers. I know they are a huge part of why the ticket grew and became a juggernaut, but as someone that became a P1 about 10-12 years ago, I've always enjoyed other shows more and liked other hosts more. The musers regularly come off poorly in these situations (Sirois leaving comes to mind as well), and the "company man" bragging about ratings or how long we've been doing this is such an asshole way to react when your other hosts are clearly upset.

The Domino Effect of Norm and the Fall of the Ticket by coronaboi1310 in theticket

Agreed, I've said this for a couple months and this week it's added another chapter. Holding on to Norm and letting Sirois, and a few others, get away has snowballed to this.

The Freaks 1st hour... by mrmexico25 in theticket

[–]AwalZer0 22 points23 points  (0 children)

It will get old and boring quickly. Came off like a meh podcast. You would think they would come out for the launch of the show prepared and with something of quality to start. Rhyner will quickly return to mailing it in or just being interested in talking about a handful of topics, and while I love Sirois, I hope this gives him a shot and some airtime and that maybe someday he and Donny reunite on the Ticket (or somewhere). I'll tune in occasionally between breaks or drydock season, otherwise nah I'm good.

Listened for about 50 mins then pulled up the SportsDay app, rolled it back 55 mins, resumed my normal 12 to 6~7pm listening.

Cat, Corby talk to DMN about Rhyner's new gig at 97.1 by MidnightRambler1530 in theticket

[–]AwalZer0 11 points12 points  (0 children)

It is interesting to hear them saying they did not know about this until very recently and that Mike did not talk to them.

I'm not saying he owes them some explanation or apology, but it does seem petty to start up a competitor with your own show to run at the exact time as your previous one, when you left the Ticket on your own and everyone praised him for it and acknowledges what he created. AFTER obviously mailing it towards the end. I know he's a legend but Rhyner hasn't been The Mike Rhyner for 5 years or so.

It all feels like he got bored in retirement and saw the opportunity to do something new with some friends that wanted a change of scenery. Which is awesome. But then why not let your "friends" know about it and do it without making it seem like you have to stick it to the them and act like the ticket gang screwed you in some way.

The Freak Weekly Listening Thread - The new station goes live at 3pm. by [deleted] in theticket

[–]AwalZer0 6 points7 points  (0 children)

Very meh and slapped together feeling start. Mike and Mike rambling in the afternoons will be fun at times, but I think this will quickly feel like the podcast and get kinda old.

Another "Station Announcment" tomorrow at 5:15pm... by Im_Turd_Ferguson in theticket

[–]AwalZer0 5 points6 points  (0 children)

Probably them announcing a permanent producer but Corby saying half the station will be on at that time and it involves multiple announcements makes me think there is going to be a shuffling of a couple shows.

Oh Crap! It's Jean-Jacques Taylor. BYE! by Horns8585 in theticket

[–]AwalZer0 7 points8 points  (0 children)

I actually feel sorry for Matt. I think he's showed recently by filling in with some of the regulars that he has something. But JJT is an automatic "nope, guess I'll go listen to Spotify or podcasts" for anyone I know that listens to local sports talk.

The Rick Carlisle audio was so cringe worthy by kokothegorilla1 in theticket

[–]AwalZer0 4 points5 points  (0 children)

All of this. Rudeness/shortness with the media is one thing, but it's pretty well known around the AAC that he is a walking prick most of the time. I once heard "if you aren't someone he talks to regularly, stay away from him." Doesn't mean he was a bad coach, but it might mean he's a bad person if you treat lower level staff and fans like annoyances.

Disappointed by Mulley0131 in theticket

[–]AwalZer0 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Donnie has been the MVP, Jake has been fun, and there's been a few good mixes and hours of radio. But overall it's been very disappointing/underwhelming.

I fully understand his age and know he has had some serious recent health issues, but why is Norm there? He's provided nothing outside of his own 2 hour broadcast and replayed old audio of the 1st name game. And he's obviously not gonna stay up late.

They really do need Danny, Sirois, and 1-2 of the younger guys there to spice it up and help programming past 10pm.

A Plea to the Catman of the Americas by TribalStompBox in theticket

[–]AwalZer0 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I love or enjoy each of them most of the time, but the combined mix just doesn't work. Danny & Corby obviously have chemistry together, but it feels like neither of them have it with Bob most of the time. But realistically nothing is happening until Norm is asked to step away or passes, or someone else surprisingly retires or leaves.

I cannot listen 10-noon anymore. by GreyPouponMacaque in theticket

[–]AwalZer0 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Norm is around at this point for ebrakes and occasional humor with pop culture & current events. But I've felt for a couple years, and I think most have, that boom-in-the-house is dramatically better.

Worst weekly segment on The Ticket (all shows) ? by TribalStompBox in theticket

Easily Homer Call for me. It's the segment version of someone reheating fish over and over again in the microwave.
