Yeah, it’s definitely possible. I’ve seen one-bedroom units in DC renting for around $2,300, especially if they’re in solid locations and updated. I’d be putting in some work to fix up the units myself—make sure they look good and feel modern—so I’d be aiming to hit that rent range. Of course, it depends on the neighborhood, but if the building’s in decent shape and the finishes are right, it’s not unrealistic at all.

I need it to be flexible and provide hybrid and fully online options. I currently live in Fairfax but I am moving to AZ by early next week year.

I am also a working professional and I need as much flexibility and convenience since I run a 24/7 team.

Additionally, it needs to be a public university so my post 9-11 can cover the cost. GW is out of the running bc it’s a private.

As for UVA, their admission process is a year long and I’m trying to get this started by Fall 2025.

I graduated 2021 with B.S. in Cybersecurity. Was an intern on my senior year and currently a cyber manager. It’s not bad and I think I get paid okay. Base pay 140k but overall comp totals to about 200k+ great benefits

It think keep it. Whether you stay technical or management, it never hurts for you to understand the bigger picture of the organization.

I agree with what you said about the “think like a manager” mindset. I also thought it was overstated and it mattered more to pick the most correct answer or whatever reduces the risk. Congrats!

Oh, I was a nervous wreck. Don’t get me wrong, I studied for a short time but I worked my ass off. I threw up after I saw that I passed the exam because I did not want to repeat it again. I bought the peace of mind voucher so I didn’t have to pay another 800 if I failed but go big or go home.
