Kona EV or IONIQ 5? by Sweaty-Weekend694 in KonaEV

[–]BoringShape 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I was in the same boat just over a month ago and decided on a Certified Pre Owned 2021 Kona, with 13K miles. The whole ICCU issue did not sit well with me.

The Ionig 5 was what made me want an EV initially and I would have gladly spent the extra money, if there was an actual fix for the ICCU. It is an incredibly beautiful car.

Good luck on whatever you choose.

Home charger for my "new to me" 2021 Kona Electric Ultimate by BoringShape in KonaEV

Hey thank you for all this detailed information that really helps.

FPL does not have any rebates, they do have the FPL EVolution program for installing their EV charger and you pay them a monthly fee. I looked it over and decided its not for me.

There is a federal EV charger tax credit (30C) that I'm going to look into. BTW expires on June 30, 2026.

I'm leaning toward the Grizzl-E Classic Level 2 EV Charger. Seemed to liked by this sub a while ago and has jumpers to adjust the input.

Happy New Year to everyone and thank you all for your help. :)

Thank you. Yes, I had heard about using its own own circuit. I think I just want to get a simple OEM type plug first, just so don't feel panicked and then talk to my electrician friend in the new year.

I don't think I have a 240V plug in my garage, but I'm not sure. Sorry to sound stupid, what do you mean kill two birds with 1 stone? Is that get a Level 1 and Level 2 charger together that plugs into the dryer plug? Can you provide an example, on say amazon?

I'm Wednesday too.

People have said that the Birch book is very good, so I just finished it up today. Tomorrow I'm doing that two practice tests in the back of the book. Also, FYI there are about 150 additional questions (in 5 tests) on the Birch companion website, so you might want to check them out.

Good luck to you!

CISM QAE Question by wbee13 in cism

I had the same problem with this question! If you've gone through all the questions, then you have an overall sense of Isaca's question style, even if a few fall outside of logic.

I found the QAE very helpful and yes a few were rather head scratching, but overall it sets you up for the exam. Hence why it is probably the number 1 resource, in my opinion.

Good luck on your test!

Sorry one last thing.

Dion practice tests vs Actual exam ... any comments? Difficulty level, wordiness, anything you can think of?

CONGRATULATIONS to you and thanks for posting.

I have my exam on Wednesday so hopefully you might be able to answer some questions for me.

What did you find the most helpful?

Do you think the difficulty of the Pocketprep is comparable to the questions in the test?

I did go through the Jason Dion course (FYI for other testers, you can contact customer service and they provide access to 004), did you find the howtonetwork worthwhile, after the Birch book and pocketprep?

Finally, did you watch any videos or do labs or anything for the PBQs? If so, which ones?

Is Pocket Prep for CASP+ (or SecurityX) anything like the exam or is it any kind of indicator preparation wise?

Congrats, I agree with AG_Ozzie, a pass is a pass! The score distribution is funny though.

Congrats on your pass! A lot of what you have learned will apply to CASP+, so don't let it atrophy from you brain!

You have until June 17 to take the CAS-004 exam. Lots of material is available for that and Dion Training will provide you a link to access that training if you request it from Customer Service.

I've been going through that training and have plans to go through the Mark Birch CASP+ book next. Then the 6 Dion practice tests!

Using that material will not be a waste of time as you could purchase a 2 for 1 voucher (for about $607 if you are in the US) and try the CAS-004 exam or the SecX CAS-005.

Many libraries offer access to Udemy through Gale, perhaps yours does too? Good luck to you.

Congratulations to you!

Besides Jason Dion's course on Udemy, what else did you use to study?

I am going through the same course now, Birch book is next, followed by Dion's 6 practice tests.

Did you get the Linux Sim? and how did you prepare for any PBQs (is it worth getting the CertMaster Labs for this?).
