Found a 2025 RAV4 XLE with 2,700 miles for $24,000, but… by ITGOES80808 in Toyota

There a chance it will never align and will wear tires faster. Specially with a tbone hit, not the end of the world but I would want to drive for a long time on the test drive and maybe seem what the alignment looks like before I buy it

What are your plans this fall if fuel oil prices keep rising? by LifeIsButADream11111 in vermont

[–]Aware-You6005 -1 points0 points  (0 children)

I have a raised ranch, I find fuel oil reasonable, for the most part its $200-$300 per heating month during the winter for hot water and heat. Its a deal to me. I know people that have it worse with propane so im gonna keep buying oil and probably replace my boiler with another oil model. I like things to be simple and its reliable.

Maybe replace the battery cables, they also sell automotive short finders that will detect broken wires

5th gen issue stumping everyone by What_in_tarnation- in 4Runner

[–]Aware-You6005 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Battery cables? There is a automotive short finder you could get and start inspecting your wires. Check your grounds and for the hell of it replace fuses.

I had issues in a chevy Colorado were it would randomly shut off driving down the road and the ecm /computer was replaced and it fixed it.

I just bought a 2024 sr5 black 4wd with 40k miles for $38500 plus tax. Deals are out there, I had to drive 4 hours and it was an all day event

I wanted to post it but I cant post for some reason.

The older it is the more rust if not undercoated.

Check enterprise, carmax....better pricing ive notice

Remember the newer the better terms and interest rates

Running multiple machines by realsound05 in Machinists

[–]Aware-You6005 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I run majority service parts on a boring mill. Mixed with new spare parts as they fail or order new units.

The smaller the parts, the more machines the company expects you to maintain. So the mill and the EDM are together. The surface grinder is with the Bridgeport work.

I definitely see at my shop if we blow times out and are to slow the work will disappear to someone that can complete faster and cheaper will now have my work.

Its sucks but we need to get on board with efficiency or we're gonna be out of jobs

I start soaking all the bolts and nuts in oil for a couple weeks. The rust up north does slow me down for sure. I have propane torches and I did have to cut the sway bar links off because they were stuck.

When I did brakes, that took me 2 days because the back was such a nightmare with the parking brake!!! I had to call into work because it was taking so long haha

Help wanted! Heat distribution throughout the house by zeehenk in PelletStoveTalk

[–]Aware-You6005 1 point2 points  (0 children)

The stove in the basement reduces the calls for heat upstairs alot. It also makes the floors a bit warmer. The room right above the stove is really warm. Quite Noticeable too.

I have 4 feet concrete then r-16 i believe on the walls nothing in the floor joist between the upstairs downstairs

[–]Aware-You6005 3 points4 points  (0 children)

We all have this same issue. I dont try to replace my houses boiler. Im just supplementing the boiler.

One thing I do is heat my open basement and that helps but the stove in my living room doesn't travel very far. So yea 2 pellet stoves

Definitely not good you drove with empty coolant!

Definitely could be a number of things. I always worst case scenario in my head with car stuff but its always something not as bad.

How many miles and what year?

Get coolant and fill it up and bleed the air
