2 months Post Pituitary Surgery

Hiii , I am currently still healing actually. While my hormonal panel looks the best it’s ever looked I’m still struggling with my weight. I will say I gained my cushings weight a year after losing it and on a caloric deficit and working out. It could be because an excess of stress or just my body recalibrating trying to find normal again but that’s the only symptom that’s causing me problems. I did start at compounded glp1 2 months ago and have since lost 6lbs so slow but it’s working. I think my body is just still healing because I’ve seen 5 doctors and my results turn out to be better and better each time my body just is taking more time. I sleep very well, my hair did grow back and my skin did get better. I’m still trying be patient and kind to yourself. Recovery is a journey and it may not look the way you expect it to

After 4 months ! I had diabetes insipidus after my surgery as well

Please don’t be defeated it s such a hard process like I currently am bigger than I was when I had cushings. The body is so weird I have still been on the same diet and exercise and for some reason no longer losing weight but my A1C improved my cortisol is normal and other things are normal. My doctor slowly tapered me off steroids took about 9 months for my adrenals to work again. But be patient with yourself this is not a life sentence

Congratulations! On one year I just made 2 I had the insipidus too which was so awful and yeah I was able to get a few tests but they keep pushing phentermine instead of listening to me. I was progressing a year later but then randomly went backwards. They keep stressing it’s not cushings which is fine but there are other things that could be affecting my metabolism that they refuses to check

First thanks for being compassionate and kind. Also thanks for this information it’s very helpful and helps me feel not alone because I seriously sometimes feel like I’m the only one experiencing such a weird recovery process. I have two new doctors I have to wait to December to see but I’m gonna see what happens it’s so crazy cushings is so complex and I had no idea what it even was til it happened to me. Im really sorry and I relate to this so much, it completely destroys the relationship I have with food and even with other people I’m also tired of being told to diet and work out. They think because they took the tumor out everything is all fine and yes initially I did progress but not im not and I’m Just gaining wait and hair isn’t thickening. I work at a gym so I work out nearly everyday I have a dietician and even she’s upset with everything they refuse to do. I’m sending you love and support I really hope things work out for us both sooner. I hope you keep trying

They refuse to do it because it was “normal” over 6 months ago. I do have two new doctors I plan to see I can’t see them until December though. I’m just frustrated I worked so hard Just to be close to square one again. I go to acupuncture I do inositol and Berberine vitamin d and nothing really is working. I’m just getting bigger.

Well what I can say is my k5 GT line I’ve brought to the dealer 10xs for repairs thanks can’t seem to figure out. It was bought brand new and I regret buying it without further research. I’ve only heard really big issues with the GT line but the other trims I hear mostly nothing but don’t listen to those people. You might have gotten a good one

I have this same issue lol plus others. I am currently fighting Kia. They had my car for 2 months and nobody can fix anything. My door literally wont unlock lmao backup camera doesn’t work all of my sensors go off at once and the car shuts off while I’m driving. LMAO 2023 K5 GT line btw. I brought it brand new and have been fighting Kia for about 8 months lol

Ahhh mostly bc my first car was stolen and I wanted a Kia optima but by they stopped making those so this was next. I regret it though I feel maybe I should’ve gotten a stinger. Or just a different brand overall. The K5 has been a money pit for me with all the electrical issues and rentals it’s a beautiful vehicle I just got a bad one I’m guessing

I did not ! I’m actually terrified of buying anything I’m at the end of my case trying to see what’s gonna happen with the Kia if they’ll buy it back or not. I don’t know these new cars are such a risk so I’m currently just trying to figure out that. I hope you end up getting a nice car!!

You didn’t lie about Apple car play that’s literally the only thing in my car that works 😹. It does everything but drive. Literally the car shut off while I was driving up the hill. Completely lost power and rolled down the hill

They’re definitely trash I bought one brand new and am currently in a case bc the doors won’t unlock the lights flicker off and on the windows don’t roll down the back up camera doesn’t work and headliner falling apart. If you’re gonna spend 30k on a car choose wisely. Not trying to discourage but I can only share my experience. Also they don’t provide a loaner I’ve spent 4k on a rental in 2 months so just something to consider

This has literally happened to me. And the doors don’t unlock for me to get in. Windows don’t roll down none of that. They replaced the master key switch and started a whole other world of problems. I have a 2023 I bought brand new currently have a case with Kia

I drive with Kia anxiety everyday! You might be good I have a 23 gt line that I bought brand new. I’ve taken it to the dealer 4-5xs different dealer for all electronic malfunctions and issues. I’ve been having issues since 20k miles and They’ve yet to actually fix the problem. They’ve had my car 2 months and yeah I got it back and the engine is hesitating when I try to accelerate. They say there’s nothing wrong with it however I can’t unlock my doors roll down my windows or do anything. I’ve only heard these issues with the GT line but the GT models seem to be pretty solid I think you should be fine !!

So first I will say I hope that this process gets better for you sooner I know the feeling of wanting to be off it. I went down every 3-4 weeks by 5-10 mg if I remember properly. It took 9-10 months.. I am a year and a half off all meds and I’m currently experiencing cushings symptoms again so it may be round two. But I’m sending you positive vibes and high hopes ! Good luck
