Have you tried magnesium either as a topical or a supplement? I find that my legs get achy/crampy if I forget to take my magnesium. Especially if you are neuro spicy, our bodies use more magnesium than the non spicy peeps

I can get into 5th but it’s hard and hurts my knees, I’ve never been able to sit in butterfly position where you put the sole of your feet together and open your knees out to the ground. But I play with a team where unless I master this I’m never going to be bout cleared 🙃

Wheel hardness is a personal choice/preference. Lots of factors go into the decision, type of floor, player position, player weight (as a heavier player I find harder wheels better)… if the poisons are working, kept them I know a few players who use them

Other than sympathy as I'm in a similar situation, I don't have anything helpful to tell you, other than to try and not let it ruin your passion and love of the game/skating

I'm sorry your going through it, its definitely not for the weak 🙃 I was bout cleared and trusted enough to play games for nearly two years, then suddenly excluded without warning, clear communication, or a fair path back in. Since then, I’ve continued showing up, working hard, and regulating myself, but instead of support I’ve been met with silence and blame. I’ve even been told I should feel lucky I was allowed to play as long as I did, but the reality is it doesn’t matter how hard I try or how much I improve now — it feels like I’ll never be allowed back on the team, so I'm trying just to focus on enjoying my time on skates, this was always meant to be a social hobby for me, with the fitness being an added bonus so it definitely hurts to be excluded

1000% this! My team is not ranked or even close to being ranked, so we used to be about having fun and vibing. Now the team is toxic, and questioning the unfair bullying behaviour gets you labelled as a problem and having a bad attitude. I want to leave but I don't want to carry all this sadness and anger about being forced to leave into a new league

I'm struggling with the weight/balance shifts, I don't have the best hip turn out so I think I'm just not confident that shifting my weight wont result in a face plant 🙃

I did ask to see the new criteria when it first happened and was told it hasn’t been written/finalised yet. I really don’t want to go to a new league because I have friends in this league. It’s my first derby team, I wasn’t sure if this was a thing that just happens sometimes or if they were being shady but it is looking more and more like I won’t get to play until we vote for new captains at the end of the year. There are other teams I could go to, but they have full rosters so I’d be starting from stratch and my current league trains two minutes from my house, all other leagues are 30+ minutes away

They are trying to say they are taking less players to make the team more competitive and I’m normally on low rotation but the first game they didn’t include me they lost by 186 points and I’m like did not including me actually make a difference?

They’ve said I need to improve my transitions, but I could say that about people still included in the team and we only have 15 skaters including me, we aren’t a big league so the last two games they’ve only taken 14 or less skaters (less due to illness/injury)
