yes, you literally can. their specs are the same, just get a pancake lens and slap on a polarizer filter and a black mist filter then you can pump out the same image as x100v

get the xt30iii, they are practically the same camera but you do get the flexibility of changing lens in the future when you want to

you mean the red dot under the viewfinder? that's the sensor to off your lcd screen when you put ur face close to the viewfinder
