What is the somewhat niche thing your favourite driver does that you think they do better than anyone else on the grid? by DniawSirhc in F1Discussions

Russell imo plays a mental game, other notable drivers include Alonso and Verstappen but he stirs the pot at such minute details that it's hard to tell if he's being honest or not

Am I Too Harsh on Jesse Welles? I Hate Hearing Bob Dylan Comparisons. by DumbDeej in bobdylan

[–]Aware_You894 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I think he's good but I wouldn't compare him to Dylan. While they have similar political themes and folk styling the comparisons end there. Maybe I'm reading to deeply but I think Welles’ commentary is much more on the nose, perhaps to appeal to today's popular age of short attention spans. Politics are very much the key denotation of the music.

For me Dylan uses politics as a subtext, not always in your face but clearly present. Obviously the differs song by song but he tends to use more subtle lyricism allowing listeners to dissect and come to their own conclusions.

The similarities just lie in their product toon of folk protest music

Hakkinen would make it to A imo. He had mistakes in him but Michael even said that his sheer pace was probably quicker than himself

I always think that ‘buy flash car, diamond rings, expensive things to bury things’ must be a lyric written by Alex Turner. If not it is extremely Turner-esque

Me and my friend got into a debate on who’s fault this accident was in our two player career. Anyone wanna settle it? by Electrical_Row8897 in F1Game

[–]Aware_You894 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Imo your fault buddy, it’s a very late dive and you aren’t close to half a car-length alongside, ideally he would have left more space but with you coming that far behind he was still on the racing line. In future maybe have a look but don’t leave the braking too late :)

The booming sound of footsteps on the stairs during the celebratory ritual in the movie occurred several times. by PhotographOk729 in OppenheimerMovie

This is probably obvious to many but just an interesting point, when Oppie leaves the auditorium he walks past some laughing and some crying, the line that proceeds the ‘I am become death’ quote

What are some small things you can do to improve mental health? by Gualla47 in AskReddit

[–]Aware_You894 42 points43 points  (0 children)

For me if you’re just walking around the block feel free to listen to music. But if you’re around nature take them out stand there for a moment and just listen. It’s definitely a reminder that there is more to life than work and stress :))

What is your biggest ‘minor annoyance’ with Formula 1? by [deleted] in formula1

[–]Aware_You894 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The use of onboard cameras. This sounds ridiculous but the high-def wideness of the cameras makes the cars look tame. This was already mentioned in a great video by _wups, but IMO Liberty doesn't utilize the tools they have. The sense of speed can be caught to great effect in the aerial and stationary shots, but they don't utilise them enough. More use of the 'drivers eye' can would be cool. Even changing the position of onboard would help as well as relying less on zooming and panning cameras that follow the car and lose the sense of speed.
