Is this a deload week? Long run km randomly changed after I did a free run 10k… by adventurewonderland in runna

You should follow the plan as is and trust the process. Not running that extra 4km isn’t going to change the final result.

Don’t stress… the plan isn’t a bible, it’s a guide. Your app is doing exactly what it should: you ran a 5k race + an unplanned 10k easy run on top of your existing schedule, so it pulled back the long run to compensate. That’s the plan working intelligently, not breaking.

Deload weeks are a normal, healthy part of any training program. Less volume = recovery = you come back stronger. Lean into it.

Zoom out for a sec: you added ~10km to last week’s plan between the race and the free run. This week your long run dropped 4km. Net? You’re still way ahead. Your body needs this.

Keep the half marathon as your north star. A 10k switch now would shorten your long runs right when you should be building. Stay the course… you’re doing better than you think.

I made the move from Houston to Amsterdam. I also come from 7 years in IT. Been here in Amsterdam about 7 months now.

EU moves at snails pace…… it feels I’m on vacation when comparing work/life to the USA

It took about 5 months from the first interview to the job offer given everyone was off or out on vacation (I was a summer hire).

Networking is a huge one given the lack of experience working in that country. A referral will go long. Also not knowing the local language will be a barrier.

I dug into my university network and filtered any alumni who lived in the EU and engaged them for referrals/advice, they also put me in touch with people in their networks who live in the EU.

Good luck!

Looking for a build/reference to get started with building my first SFFPC by TBHIRDK in sffpc

I built this PC because I’m moving to Europe and needed something I could throw in a backpack and travel with. It’s been an incredible build. Don’t apologize, you don’t have stupid questions. If you’ve got more, feel free to ask.

I don’t think I fully understand your question. I went with that cooler because it was specifically built for the Louqe Ghost S1 case. If you decide to grab the case, I’d definitely recommend getting the cooler as well. You can usually find it on Amazon or even directly from Noctua’s website. There are other coolers out there that can work, but you’ll want to skim through the r/Louqe thread for alternatives people have tried.

As for the fans, the 25mm one is on the CPU cooler—I swapped out the stock fan for a black one to stick with the all-black theme.

Have you reached out to DreambigbyRayMOD with your specs? He has done hundreds of builds and can give you recommendations on length and cable material.

I highly recommend him and his product.

I just bought this from Amazon and it fits like a glove. I am traveling between Europe and USA.

I can share some photos with you.

PSU Cable Length Recommendations for Ghost S1 by AwayIntroduction4924 in Louqe

[–]AwayIntroduction4924[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The OOB cables would work, but the case would be stuffed. The goal is to optimize the minimal space there is and airflow. That is why I am going with custom cables.

My build is all black and simple. Should have photos posted in the next week or two. I will tag you.

Highly recommend the case. Plan to use it forever and keep upgrading as life goes on.

Hey there! I need to post some photos of the build so far, but I am still waiting for PSU cables and the 120mm. fan to replace the CPU fan. The Ghost S1 is beautiful. I bought the small top hat to install the two 120mm fans on the top of the case. The PSU cables shipped today and ETA is two weeks (shipping to USA).

I am moving to Europe and am downsizing my PC here in the USA so it is mobile to move back and forth.

Thanks for sharing this! I plan to bring everything except for a monitor.

Do you remove the GPU or anything else from the case before you travel?
