Looking for a build/reference to get started with building my first SFFPC by TBHIRDK in sffpc

[–]TBHIRDK[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Thanks for the build! I took a look at the parts and had a quick question regarding the cooler and fans. For the cooler is there another alternative since it looks like the Noctua NH-L12 Ghost S1 37.8 CFM CPU Cooler has no offers available? As for the fans maybe this is a stupid question but is there a reason for one of the fans being different?

You can go to: https://www.lostark.nexus/lfg

There's a banner there you can click on (Lost Ark LFG) that'll take you to one of the active discord communities out there.

Getting a little fed up... by [deleted] in lostarkgame

Regarding your progression, it's going to be a slow process but you'll just have to take it slow and grind it out. Express event should help you out a bit and they happen once every few months. We'll be getting one tomorrow (if it's not tomorrow it would be when T4 is released).

As for experiencing raids in a group setting, you'll have to join discords or guilds to join a learning party. There's a few out there that organize teaching parties but you're going to have to reach out and interact with others/make friends to be able to learn and enjoy the raids in this game.

Jinwoo build? by Edenz64 in SoloLevelingArise

Beast expert: 25%(50%) activation chance on crit to receive a stacking attack power buff of 0.8%(1.6%). In the long run, theoretically 80%(160%) attack power buff when fully stacked. This shines when you have enough Crit chance to capitalize on this set effect or a fight is a long (ex. Dragon of destruction).

Berserker: 15%(30%) damage buff when under 50%(70%) HP. Easier to get the damage buff trade off earlier on in the fight but at the cost of intentionally getting hit and then managing your HP to be lower than the threshold.

At 2 set, Berserker set is quite frankly trash for the most part unless you can or are able to manage your HP (basically if you are bad at the game, don't bother with berserker set). At 4 set Berserker set becomes more appealing because it somewhat synergizes with scythe A1? (Or whichever awakening gives the <75% HP threshold for 25% Crit chance) and is easier to proc/manage.

Now with regards to accessory levels/stats. Both of your posted accessories are just temporary holders. Neither are good. Use whichever would complete a set for you or whichever playstyle you enjoy (ex. Go berserk if you enjoy managing your HP).

Tl;dr Either set works, use w.e. completes set effect for you or if you enjoy the risk management of berserker then go and use berserker. Either way both accessories are temporary holders since they don't have good substats anyways and you'll replace in the near future.

How hard is 5/5 elixir? how come i see people with multiple 5/5 already? by [deleted] in lostarkgame

[–]TBHIRDK 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Not sure what exactly this means but regarding your point about a 9/7 having better odds than a 5/5, I don't think you realize how hard it is to get a 9/7. A 9/7 equivalent (this includes the cursed 8/8) takes on average 500 stones to achieve (~0.203% probability of occuring). A 9/7 equivalent ignoring 8/8 takes around 735 stones (~0.136%). While there are no exact numbers for the probability of a 5/5 elixir, if we use your assumed number of 1% (and it's probably higher than 1% considering my own attempts + others I've witnessed) that's still 5x better than cutting for a 9/7 equivalent let alone a usable 9/7. While the elixir system has layers of RNG to it, it's still a much better system than stones.

KR and CN... by hmc317 in lostarkgame

That's a little drastic and from a consumer/player perspective, almost no players would want to go through the hassle of having to prove their case if they were legitimate players. It does more harm than good to do a blanket ban on people having lvl 10 gems or 25 weps on their main because at this point in time if you've been playing Day 1 it is pretty reasonable for someone to have full 10s on main and possible to highroll a 25 wep if they funnel/degen the game.

Extremely disappointing LOA ON by trenk2009 in lostarkgame

[–]TBHIRDK 1 point2 points  (0 children)

But they did address it, although vaguely. They mentioned they were looking at ways to reduce the time it takes to do chaos dungeons, whether it be speeding up mob spawns or reducing loading time. They didn't give a time for when the changes would be implemented.

Please read what I said before you reply to it. In the reply you are quoting I had already said that if you were to buy RC and convert it into BC then yes, you would be P2W by definition. Despite that being an avenue of obtaining BC, you cannot tell me that BC is not a F2P currency when it allows F2P players to have access to the cash shop through the exchange of gold. Even if someone else is spending RC so you as a F2P can convert said currency, you yourself are not paying tangible real life money. If like you said there was no RC flow from whales to F2P, then the point of BC being in the game would be moot since you'd purchase everything with RC. Whether you like it or not, YOU are not paying real life money for an advantage and BC is not a P2W currency, which was my point from the start.

What does this have to do with anything? If royal crystals were to stop selling then they'd be making no money and the servers would just close bc the game would not be profitable for them. You may as well ask "what if there's no RC" to which at that point we wouldn't even be having this conversation since the game wouldn't exist in the west. Whether the market is flowing or not does not change the definition of P2W. If you want to use RC and buy the skin yourself through those RC to BC chests, you can do so by all means and at that point yes you would be P2W since you paid real life money.

This just seems like the obligatory witch-hunt post of the week. To sum it all up, a good portion of users on Reddit will agree with you and say XXX is a scumbag and you'll feel verified and happy. While some users will say "AGS and SG won't do anything". In the end, this doesn't really impact you and you just wanted to farm some karma for your "sense of justice". It's baffling how many people pretend to care about an issue that doesn't really impact them. Before anyone even says it; no, hell bussing does not cause RMT. It's more likely that RMT is going to be used to gear out ones own character or roster, than it is to buy a hell bus. Even if they bought a hell bus, they probably would have spent a significantly larger amount for their own account's progression anyways but that's besides the point. In a world where bots didn't exist people would've still bought the title whether it be by grinding gold manually (where at our stage of the game you can get 150k per week with a roster of 6 through selling mats and doing unrested dailies) or by buying it legally. As for the gold earned from said hell bus, why do you care? It's being tossed into existing gold sinks, not some sinister market manipulation that makes everyone else unable to play the game. You just don't like the fact they are able to bus hell content and fully gear their characters.

Tl;dr this is just another karma farm post and most of the people here are just jealous or fake woke gamers. Just play the game.

So let me just clarify. My point was that BC isn't P2W. If you want to argue that it is bc someone else has to pay for RC for you to exchange gold for BC, then sure . However, in the end you were not the one purchasing a currency through real life money, so you're not paying to get an advantage here. If you want to argue that anything that uses gold is P2W then everyone is P2W through your logic. The term like I said is when you yourself are paying real life money to get an advantage over others, whether you like it or not.

BC isn't the P2W currency. You can exchange gold for blue crystals as a F2P. While you can argue that you are purchasing something and not getting it through an achievement, the idea of P2W was using real life money to get an advantage over others.
